Financial exploitation
of older adult
MILL HALL -- Shannon M. Schenck, of Lock Haven, was arrested on five felony counts of financial exploitation of an older adult or care-dependent person and access device fraud, according to Mill Hall Borough Police.
Schenck was working as a care provider when she allegedly used the elderly victims' credit card to pay her own PPL bill and made personal purchases totaling $2,212.33 in September of 2023, police said. She was taken into custody and transported to the Clinton County Correctional Facility for processing. The charges were filed through District Court Judge John Maggs' office
Crash with injury
RENOVO -- A passenger of a 2016 Ford Edge driven by Angela Black, 60, of Lock Haven, sustained possible injuries after getting rear ended by a 2007 Hyundai Elantra driven by Alexis McKennon, 24, of Glendora, N.J., along Renovo Road in Grugan Township on Oct. 15, according to state police at Lamar.
The passenger of the struck vehicle, Alan Black, 62, of Lock Haven, reported minor injuries, police said. He was transported to Jersey Shore Hospital by Goodwill Hose Ambulance for treatment.
McKennon's vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
Weapon possession
on school property
MILL HALL -- A 13-year-old male juvenile, of Mill Hall, was charged with weapon possession on school property when he allegedly had a knife in his possession at the Central Mountain Middle School along Ben Avenue in Mill Hall Borough on Oct. 20, according to state police at Lamar.
Drug paraphernalia possession
AVIS -- Two individuals were observed walking along Woodward Avenue in Pine Creek Township and one of them was allegedly found in possession of drug paraphernalia on Oct. 17, according to state police at Lamar.
