Hit and run, unknown suspect
BEECH CREEK -- Justin Haines, 18, of Beech Creek, was the victim of a hit and run incident along Main Street in Beech Creek Borough, involving an unknown suspect, according to state police at Lamar.
At about 9:31 p.m. on Nov. 22, both Haines and another vehicle were traveling along State Route 150. The other vehicle proceeded to "carelessly pass" Haines in a no passing zone, police said. As the vehicle passed, it allegedly side swiped Haines's 1998 Subaru Forester.
Minor damage was caused to both vehicles, police said. No injuries were reported.
Crash
ROTE -- Clair James, 21, of Mill Hall, wrecked their 2016 Volkswagen Jetta into a utility pole after losing control of the vehicle along Auction Road in Lamar Township, according to state police at Lamar.
James was traveling eastbound near 519 Auction Road at about 2:30 a.m. on Nov. 19. James failed to maintain control of the vehicle, crossed over the double yellow centerline, through the westbound lane and exited off the north side of the road, police said. After exiting the roadway, the vehicle struck a utility pole with the front driver's side portion, police said. The vehicle continued eastward where it struck several fence posts and caused it to overturn onto its roof, police said.
No injuries were reported.
Crash with injuries
HANEYVILLE -- Shane Barrett, 46, of Lock Haven, sustained suspected minor injuries after crashing a 2019 Ford F-150 XLT into a tree along Queens Run Road in Gallagher Township, according to state police at Lamar.
At about 1:18 a.m. on Nov. 25, Barrett failed to maintain control of his vehicle while traveling along Queens Run Road and exited off the east side of the roadway, police said. After exiting the roadway, the vehicle struck a tree with its front portion.
Barrett was transported to UPMC Williamsport via Lock Haven EMS for treatment.
