Home leveled by early morning blaze in Chapman Township

Fire crews from throughout Clinton County were called to battle an early morning blaze at 159 Snyder St. in Chapman Township Thursday. Crews were called to the scene at 6:26 a.m., with flames so hot it caused the siding from a nearby home to visibly melt. Firefighters remained on the scene until 10:16 a.m. No further information about the fire is available at this time. Fire stations that responded to the incident included Chapman Township/North Bend, South Renovo Citizens Hose, Renovo Emerald, Kettle Creek/Cross Fork, Lock Haven Citizens Hose, Beech Creek/Blanchard, Dunnstown, Flemington Goodwill Hose, Woolrich and Avis.
