Howard man charged with corruption of minors
HOWARD — State police at Rockview have charged a Howard man with misdemeanor corruption of minors and harassment following an incident that allegedly happened at the Centre County Grange Fair in August.
According to the criminal docket information, Hunter Kenneth L. Henney, 21, of Howard, admitted to contacting a 15-year-old boy and sending lewd photos of himself to the teen, according to Trooper Dalton Granville. Henney claimed to have met the teen at the Grange Fair in Centre Hall and allegedly admitted to kissing the victim on two occasions in August.
Police were notified of Henney’s inappropriate behavior by the teen’s mother on Aug. 25.
According to court documents, the mother claimed she was holding her son’s phone when Henney sent the message and nude photo of himself to the phone.
She opened the message to see a picture of Henney’s genitals, according to Trooper Granville’s affidavit. The mother then discovered her son had been spending time with Henney during the fair.
Upon further investigation, the teen admitted to meeting Henney through a friend, Granville said. They exchanged numbers and Snapchat information that day.
The victim told police they would “do stuff” but it would never progress past kissing, reports say.
The teen allegedly blocked Henney after he sent the lewd photographs of himself.
Police spoke with Henney at his home on Aug. 26, according to Trooper Granville. He claimed the accuser told him he was 16 years old. Henney confessed to kissing the victim twice, but never seeing him again, Granville’s report stated.
Henney is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing at the end of October before Centre County Judge Gregory Koehle.
