Single vehicle crash

TUSSEYVILLE — Kelly Long, 56, of Lykens, was transported by Penns Valley EMS to Mount Nittany Medical Center with suspected minor injuries after failing to negotiate a curve in the road at the intersection of Old Route 322 and Sand Mountain Road in Potter Township on Oct. 2, according to state police at Rockview.

DUI crash

BELLEFONTE — Nathan Folmar, 43, of Philipsburg, was arrested for driving under the influence and other related traffic offenses after crashing a 1999 Saturn on the 600 block of Lucas Road in Boggs Township, according to state police at Rockview.

Serious injuries in

high-speed crash

LOGANTON — The driver of a 2017 Cadillac CTS was transported for serious injuries after a high speed crash along Interstate 80 West near mile marker 184 in Greene Township on Aug. 31, state police at Lamar said.

Michael A. Wodarski, 25, of Detroit, Mich., was traveling approximately 124 miles per hour while passing a tractor trailer on the left berm of the roadway and lost control of the vehicle, police said.

The vehicle traveled across the left and right lanes and hit a guardrail before traveling over it and becoming airborne, flipping onto its roof, police said.

The vehicle continued down an embankment and came to rest on its wheels about 50 yards down, police said.

Wodarski became temporarily entrapped but was able to free himself without mechanical means, police said.

Wodarski sustained significant injury to his face and was transported to Geisinger Medical Center via Lock Haven EMS, police said.

Wodarksi was cited in relation to maximum speed limits as a result of the crash, police said.

Firearm transfer

MILL HALL — State police at Lamar were called to 6945 Nittany Valley Drive, Lamar Township, for a Pennsylvania Instant Check System (PICS) Violation on Nov. 17, 2023.

According to police, the suspect attempted to purchase a firearm and lied on the form, police said.

During the investigation, the District Attorney’s office was consulted and declined prosecution of the case, police said.

No charges will be filed.

Terroristic threats

MILL HALL — Charles Bowman, 38, of Mill Hall, was charged with terroristic threats and harassment by communication following an incident at 6 Millbrook Plaza, Bald Eagle Township, on July 4, state police at Lamar said.

At 11:41 p.m., officers responded to the area for reports of harassment where it was learned Bowman contacted the victim via social media and sent a message which was threatening in nature, police said.

Charges were filed through District Judge Heidi Wright’s office.

Two vehicle accident

LOGANTON — No one was injured in a two vehicle accident along Interstate 80 East near mile marker 188 in Greene Township on Aug. 13, state police at Lamar said.

At 3:42 p.m., Jose D. Garcia, 46, of Anna, Texas, was traveling in the right lane when the drive shaft of his 1999 Freightliner FLD120 fell off into the road, police said.

Janeyda I. Ortiz, 19, of Bethlehem, Pa., was traveling slightly behind the truck and couldn’t avoid striking the drive shaft with her 2002 Honda Accord, police said.

Ortiz’s vehicle suffered disabling damage due to striking the object, police said.

Simple trespass

MILL HALL — State police at Lamar are investigating an incident of trespass that occurred along Allis Chalmers Lane in Porter Township on Aug. 13.

Indecent exposure

LAMAR — State police at Lamar received two Child Welfare reports regarding a male, name not listed, exposing himself to two 7-year-old females between June 1, 2019 and Aug. 1, 2020 in Lamar Township.

PSP received the report on July 24, 2024.

Child endangerment

MILL HALL — State police at Lamar are investigating a Child Welfare report it received on Aug. 6 in Bald Eagle Township.

According to police, between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Aug. 5, a 1-year-old child was burned on the arm with the suspect believed to have done it intentionally.

Vehicle rear ended

MILL HALL — No one was injured in a two vehicle crash along Nittany Valley Drive, Porter Township, on Aug. 14, state police at Lamar said.

Richard L. Pelton, Jr., 35, of Lamar, was traveling about 40 miles per hour on the roadway when he failed to see a 2014 Mazda 3, driven by Albert J. Crossley, IV, 28, of Jersey Shore, stopped to complete a left turn due to cell phone usage, police said.

Pelton was unable to stop after seeing the vehicle and struck it with his 2003 Nissan Sentra, police said.

Pelton’s vehicle came to rest on the east berm and Crossley was able to drive from the scene to a nearby parking lot, police said.

Neither driver was injured and Pelton was cited for following too closely, police said.

Title 75 violation

MILL HALL — A 26-year-old Howard man was charged with a Title 75 violation following a traffic stop at the intersection of Nittany Valley Drive and Browns Hill Road in Porter Township on Aug. 16, state police at Lamar said.

During the stop for the violations, it was determined that the driver was required to operate a vehicle with an ignition interlock, police said.

Charges were filed through District Judge Heidi Wright’s office.
