Drug possession
JACKSONVILLE — Deonte Presley, 30, of Cleveland, Ohio, was charged with drug possession during a traffic stop on Interstate 80 East in Marion Township on Aug. 30 when an investigation revealed he was in possession of a small amount of marijuana and two pills suspected to be Percocets, according to state police at Rockview.

JACKSONVILLE — On Sept. 1, state police at Rockview initiated a traffic stop on Interstate 80 East in Marion Township on a 2024 Chevrolet.
An investigation revealed the operator and passenger were in possession of a small amount of marijuana, police said.
School vehicle crash
MILESBURG — Three occupants of a school van were transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center on Sept. 20 following a two-car accident on North Eagle Valley Road, west of the intersection of Curtin Hollow Road, Boggs Township, according to state police at Rockview.
Daniel Barndt, 72, of Howard, attempted to turn left onto Curtin Hollow Road in his 2016 Ford F-150 XL when Rebecca Plubell, 50, of Snow Shoe, struck the front end of the passenger side of Barndt’s Ford with the 2012 Dodge Caravan she was using to transport two children, a three-year-old girl and a four-year-old boy, police said.
The two children and Plubell were transported to Mount Nittany by Pleasant Gap EMS and Bellefonte EMS for suspected minor injuries and Barndt was charged with failing to yield, according to state police.
Indecent assault
SPRING MILLS — According to state police at Rockview, police are investigating an alleged sexual assault that took place in Gregg Township in 2020.
Harassment
BELLEFONTE — Terrence Krumrine, 48, of Bellefonte, was charged with harassment on Sept. 27 after shoving an 18-year-old man on Hickory Street in Benner Township, state police at Rockview said.
Burglary
MONUMENT — State police at Rockview received a report from an unnamed 54-year-old woman of Bellefonte of a burglary that occurred between Aug. 1, 2023 and Sept. 12, 2024 where a Hornet 22 Long Rifle was stolen from 125 Acorn St., Liberty Township.

Single car crash
STATE COLLEGE — On Sept. 21 at approximately 2:08 a.m., state police at Rockview responded to a crash along Interstate 99 near mile marker 62.5 in Worth Township.
According to police, the crash occurred as Tyler A. Marciano, 19, of Harrison City, Pa., was negotiating a right curve on the roadway in a 2010 BMW X5.
The vehicle was in the left lane when it went off the left side of the road, striking a cable barrier and proceeding along the cable before it struck a guide rail end, police said.
The vehicle ricocheted off the guide rail, coming to an uncontrolled stop in the left lane facing north, police said.
According to police, no injuries were reported for either Marciano or his passenger, Alyssa M. Pavlone, 18, of Irwin, Pa. The driver was charged with careless driving.
Alpha Fire Company, Port Matilda Fire Company and Russell’s Towing assisted at the scene.
DUI
JULIAN — On Sept. 24, while investigating a domestic related incident, a 54-year-old female of Julian, Pa., was arrested by state police at Rockview for driving under the influence in Huston Township.
Harassment, no legitimate
purpose
BEECH CREEK — State police at Rockview received a call from Grassroots Crisis of Colombia, Md., on Sept 30, regarding a welfare check on a 54-year-old female, of Beech Creek, for contacting them through web chat expressing suicidal and homicidal ideations.
According to police, contact with the victim was made and it was found this was a fake report made to Grassroots Crisis made by an unknown actor.
There are no suspects at this time, police said.
Two-vehicle crash
BELLEFONTE — On Sept. 13 at 5:39 p.m., two drivers were charged in connection to a two-vehicle crash on Rock Road in Benner Township, according to state police at Rockview.
Judith Spangler, 77, of Bellefonte, failed to negotiate a right curve in her 2013 Hyundai Elantra, causing her to strike the side of a Ford F250 Supercab driven by Benjamin Mersinger, 24, of Spring Mills, police said.
According to police, Spangler was charged in relation to driving on roadways laned for traffic and Mersinger was charged with lacking required financial responsibility.
Indecent assault
PLEASANT GAP — On Sept. 9, police investigated a sexual assault incident perpetrated against a 22-year-old man from Bellefonte on Insitution Drive in Benner Township, according to state police at Rockview.
DUI on view
BELLEFONTE — Michael Dye, 34, of Lock Haven, was arrested for driving under the influence on Aug. 3 around 11 p.m. on Interstate-99 in Benner Township, according to state police at Rockview.
Fight
WINGATE — On Sept. 4, a 16-year-old boy from Clarence was cited for physical harassment as a result of an altercation between two students at Bald Eagle Area High School, according to state police at Rockview.
