DUI

JULIAN — Wendy Thompson, 54, of Julian, was arrested on Sept. 24 after an investigation into a domestic related incident on Beaver Road in Huston Township revealed Thompson had been driving while under the influence, according to state police at Rockview.

Assault with weapon

SPRING MILLS — On Sept. 15, state police investigated a simple assault incident in Gregg Township that allegedly involved a weapon, according to state police at Rockview.

Theft

HUBLERSBURG — Between Oct. 9 and Oct. 15, $17,381 was stolen from a 64-year-old Howard woman through seven unauthorized transfers from her bank account, after a thief obtained her password, according to state police at Rockview.

Two vehicle accident

BELLEFONTE — On Oct. 14, Scott Williams, 34, of Pleasant Gap, had his 2010 Honda Accord towed from Upper Gyp Road at its intersection with Valley View Road after the car’s front passenger’s side axle broke, causing the car to drift backwards into Taylor Nichols, 23, of Bellefonte, who was operating a 2018 Subaru Impreza, according to state police at Rockview.

Single vehicle accident

MILESBURG — State police at Rockview responded to a single-vehicle crash on Oct. 23 at 8:30 p.m. at the on ramp of PA-144 headed to PA-150 in Boggs Township.

The crash occurred when Michael Homan, 57, of Port Matilda, allegedly failed to negotiate a right turn and struck the guide rail, according to state police at Rockview.

The operator fled the scene, but was later identified as Homan, who was charged with driving on roadways laned for traffic, according to state police.

Hit and run

BELLEFONTE — At 5:45 p.m. on Oct. 23, a 2017 Lexus RX350 driven by Ting He, 43, of Boalsburg, was struck by a red vehicle operated by a white female on Interstate 99 in Benner Township, according to state police at Rockview.

The driver of the red vehicle fled the scene and could not be located, police said.

Car strikes biking child

AARONSBURG — On Oct. 23 at 5:37 p.m., Steven Chrismer, 69, of Douglasville, was attempting to pass two children on bicycles on the 6100 block of Penns Valley Road in Haines Township when one of the bicyclists, a 9-year-old boy from Aaronsburg, made a sharp left turn to cross the road without looking and entered the path of Chrismer’s 2024 Toyota Prius, according to state police at Rockview.

The Prius hit the bicycle, causing the boy to be thrown from the bike, resulting in minor injuries to his elbows, face and back, police said.

DUI related crash

BELLEFONTE — Nathan L. Folmar, 43, of Philipsburg, was charged with driving under the influence and failure to give information or render aid after crashing a 1999 Saturn Ion in the area of the 600 block of Lucas Road in Boggs Township, according to state police at Rockview.

Police said Folmar, and his passenger, Leo Johnson, 23, of Bellefonte, were traveling down Lucas Road when the vehicle left the roadway, hit a ditch and struck a tree stump before overturning and landing on the roof.

Neither Folmar or Johnson were found at the scene of the crash but were soon located and transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center for injuries sustained from the crash, police said.

Statutory rape

MILESBURG — On Sept. 14, state police investigated a report of sexual assault/statutory rape in Milesburg Borough, according to state police at Rockview.

Disorderly conduct

MILESBURG — A 54-year-old man from Milesburg was arrested after a disorderly conduct incident was reported at the 300 block of High Street in the Borough of Milesburg on Sept. 25, according to state police at Rockview.

Illegal firearm possession

BELLEFONTE — A 36-year-old Bellefonte man was arrested after Pennsylvania State Police at Rockview investigated an Oct. 5 incident on Seibert Road in Benner Township involving a person prohibited from possessing a firearm, according to state police at Rockview.

Harassment

BELLEFONTE — A 22-year-old Bellefonte woman was charged with harassment for physical contact with another person following an investigation by Pennsylvania State Police at Rockview on Oct. 2 at 2 p.m. in the 100 block of Bel Air Hills Road, according to state police.
