Escape

BELLEFONTE — On Nov. 1, at 11:15 a.m., a 17-year-old boy from Moshannon escaped from the Centre County Juvenile Detention Center in Benner Township, according to state police at Rockview.

The juvenile was located and charges are pending, police said.

Terroristic threats

BELLEFONTE — On Oct. 22, shortly before 2 a.m., PSP Rockview responded to the 1000 block of Benner Pike for a report of threats made against a 36-year-old man from State College.

According to police, though the identity of the actor remains unknown, they reside at a known residence in Philipsburg Borough.

Drug possession

BELLEFONTE — Wilfred Alsonson-Rodriguez, 35, of Lewistown, was arrested for possession of a small amount of marijuana on Oct. 19 during a traffic stop on the 1000 block of Benner Pike, according to state police at Rockview,

Charges are pending, police said.

Theft by deception

BELLEFONTE — On Nov. 4, PSP Rockview said they are investigating multiple scams in which Megan’s Law offenders are being contacted by a man claiming to be from their local sheriff’s office.

The offenders were allegedly told that arrest warrants have been issued for them failing to submit an updated DNA sample, at which point the man instructs the Megan’s Law offenders to go to Walmart and send money to him via CashApp or a similar money transferring service in order to avoid going to jail, police said.

PSP Rockview reminded the public that law enforcement will never contact you to extort money.

Possession of drug paraphernalia

UNIONVILLE — Thomas Dubbs, 39, and Chasity Smith, 36, both of Bellefonte, were arrested on Oct. 7 for possession of drug paraphernalia after a search warrant was issued for their residence following the observation of paraphernalia in plain view.

Theft by deception

BELLEFONE — According to state police at Rockview, on Oct. 16, $2,490 in cash was allegedly stolen from a location on Paradise Road in Benner Township.

DUI

MILESBURG — Luis Mejia Carrera, 31, of Durham, N.C., was arrested Oct. 28 for driving under the influence of alcohol while police were out responding to a report of a disabled motorist on Interstate-80 in Boggs Township, according to state police at Rockview

Theft

UNIONVILLE — On Nov. 1, a 53-year-old Julian man was allegedly scammed out of $210.59 through a hotel booking website, according to state police at Rockview.

PSP is currently investigating.

Theft

MINGOVILLE — On Nov. 3, a 78-year-old Bellefonte woman reported the theft of jewelry at a location on East College Avenue, according to state police at Rockview.

PSP is currently investigating.
