Burglary
SOUTH RENOVO -- State police at Lamar are investigating a report of a burglary at a property along Susquehanna Avenue in South Renovo.
The 46-year-old Pottstown, Pa., man told police the residence was uninhabited and undergoing renovations when the burglary occurred between Aug. 25 and Sept. 29, police said.
The homeowner did not have a complete list of items that were stolen but, due to it being inhibited, the structure did not have many expensive goods, police said.
$80 stolen
MILL HALL -- A 69-year-old Beech Creek man was the victim of theft at Walmart in Bald Eagle Township on Oct. 5, state police at Lamar said.
According to police, the victim forgot to retrieve $80 dispensed from a self checkout register, police said.
The investigation is currently on-going as security footage is reviewed, police said.

DUI alleged
LOCK HAVEN -- A 30-year-old Tolleson, Ariz., man could face driving under the influence charges following a traffic stop in Lock Haven on Oct. 4, state police at Lamar said.
The driver was stopped in his Toyota Rav 4 at 12:49 a.m. along Bellefonte Avenue near its intersection with Commerce Street for driving without headlights, police said.
During the investigation, it was determined the driver was under the influence of alcoholic beverages, police said.
Chemical testing was consented to and charges are pending toxicology reports, police said.
DUI alleged
CASTANEA -- A traffic stop along state Route 220 in Castanea Township could lead to driving under the influence charges for a 64-year-old Lock Haven woman, state police at Lamar said.
Police initiated a traffic stop on Oct. 4 at 11:26 p.m. for a 2021 Kia Sportage due to multiple traffic violations, police said.
During the investigation, it was determined the driver was under the influence of alcoholic beverages, police said.
Chemical testing was consented to and charges are pending toxicology reports, police said.
Possession of drug
paraphernalia
MILL HALL -- A 17-year-old Lock Haven female was found in possession of drug paraphernalia along Keystone Central Drive, Bald Eagle Township, on Sept. 30, state police at Lamar said.
Police were called to Central Mountain High School at 2:01 p.m. for reports of found drugs where a KCSD Resource Officer allegedly located a THC pen inside a student's 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe, police said.
The paraphernalia was turned over to police and a juvenile petition was filed, police said.
Flat tire leads to DUI arrest
LAMAR -- State police at Lamar responded to reports of a vehicle with a flat tie along Interstate 80, Lamar Township, on Oct. 5 which led to a driving under the influence arrest.
Police responded to the report involving a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze in the area of mile marker 1820 when, while assisting the 21-year-old Lancaster man, it was determined he was under the influence of alcoholic beverages, police said.
Chemical testing was consented to and criminal charges are pending toxicology reports, police said.
$7,000 theft
FLEMINGTON -- State police at Lamar are investigating a theft involving roughly $7,000 in gift cards that was reported on Sept. 30 in Flemington Borough.
Officers were called to a home along Linden Street, where the victim -- a 76-year-old Flemington woman -- told police they became involved with an unknown person and gifted them nearly $7,000 in Apple gift cards with a promise of being reimbursed, police said.
Multiple people cited
RENOVO -- Four Renovo residents were cited for harassment after state police at Lamar responded to reports of a disturbance along Schuylkill Avenue in the borough on Sept. 24.
Non-traffic citations for harassment were filed against a 61-year-old woman, 37-year-old woman, 42-year-old man and 37-year-old man, all of Renovo, through District Judge Frank Mills' office, police said.
DUI charge
LOCK HAVEN -- A 67-year-old Mill Hall man was charged with driving under the influence following a traffic stop along Paul Mack Boulevard, Lock Haven on Aug. 31, state police at Lamar said.
The traffic stop occurred at 12:08 a.m. where it was discovered the man was operating his 2006 Honda Odyssey while under the influence of alcohol, police said.
Appropriate charges were filed through District Judge Keith Kibler's office.
Vehicle strikes tree
MILL HALL -- The passenger of a 1999 Chevrolet S10 suffered suspected minor injuries following a one vehicle crash along Fairpoint Road on Sept. 25, state police at Lamar said.
At 3:42 p.m., Jenessa B. Watkins, 19, of Mill Hall, was negotiating a right-hand curve when she lost control of the vehicle and left the roadway, striking a tree head-on, police said.
The passenger, a 17-year-old Lock Haven female, was taken to UPMC Lock Haven for further evaluation as a result of the crash, police said.
The vehicle was towed from the scene by Martin Motors, police said.
Watkins was cited in relation to driving on roadways laned for traffic, police said.
Vehicle strikes deer
LAMAR -- No injuries were reported in a one vehicle crash involving a deer on Interstate 80 West near mile marker 176 in Lamar Township on Sept. 29, state police at Lamar said.
At 7:50 a.m., Jennifer D. Walker, 43, of Jersey Shore, was traveling along the roadway when a deer entered the travel lane, police said.
Walker braked in an attempt to avoid striking the animal but was unable to do so, leading to the deer hitting the front of her 2021 Jeep Renegade, police said.
The impact caused disabling damage to the vehicle, police said.
Police were assisted on the scene by Tressler's Towing, police said.
Retail theft
MILL HALL -- A 56-year-old Clarence woman was briefly taken into custody for retail theft at Walmart along Hogan Boulevard in Bald Eagle Township on Sept. 26, state police at Lamar said.
According to police, the woman is accused of stealing AW Short, valued at $7.98; ladies wear, valued at $10.98; and a package of AA batteries, valued at $8.77 by not scanning them through the self checkout machine, police said.
The woman was taken into custody to be fingerprinted and then released, police said.
Over $3,000 theft
SOUTH RENOVO -- State police at Lamar are currently investigating the theft of over $3,000 of equipment from a property along Pine Street in South Renovo.
Police were called to the area on Sept. 19 at 6 a.m. for reports of a burglary where the following items were taken: a torque wrench, valued at $150; a 3,500 watt generator, valued at $800; a chop saw valued at $1,200; a cement vibrator, valued at $700; and an air compressor, valued at $700.
The theft occurred between Sept. 18 at 10 p.m. and Sept. 19 at 6 a.m., police said.
One vehicle crash
LAMAR -- The driver of a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe was not injured following a one vehicle crash along Mackeyville Road in Lamar Township on July 20, state police at Lamar said.
At 1:21 p.m., a 16-year-old Howard male was traveling south on the roadway when he attempted to swerve to miss a deer that came onto the roadway from the east, police said.
The vehicle missed the deer but rolled over an embankment, police said.
The vehicle was towed from the scene by Tressler's Towing, police said.
Careless driving
BEECH CREEK -- Careless driving led to a multi-vehicle crash along Monument-Orviston Road, Beech Creek Borough, on Sept. 14, state police at Lamar said.
Steven J. Strouse, 18, of Beech Creek, was allegedly driving his 1986 Ford F-150XLT south in the 10 block of the roadway when he lost control of the vehicle, veering into the west shoulder and striking a parked 2018 Ford F-150XLT that was unoccupied, police said.
Strouse's vehicle continued south, striking a parked 2011 Chevrolet Silverado, which caused the unoccupied vehicle to strike another parked vehicle -- a 2008 Suzuki Verona, police said.
The impact of this crash caused the Suzuki to strike a utility pole with its 12 o'clock position, police said.
Strouse's vehicle continued south, striking the Verona before continuing approximately 50 feet and losing a tire, which struck a house located at 26 Monument Orviston Road and causing damage to the siding and window frame, police said.
Strouse's vehicle came to rest in the roadway about 50 feet from the third vehicle where he fled the scene, police said.
The truck was disabled and pulled off the road by individuals who witnessed the crash and moved to 56 Monument Orviston Road and left in the yard, police said.
Martin Motors assisted on the scene with towing the vehicle for investigative purposes, police said.
Strouse was later identified and is being charged for crash related violations, including careless driving, police said.
Shoplifting
MILL HALL -- Teisa Meixel, 29, of Jersey Shore, was charged with shoplifting from the Walmart at 167 Hogan Boulevard in Bald Eagle Township on Sept. 4 after attempting to under-ring several items at the register, according to state police at Lamar.
Mexiel allegedly stole $74.67 worth of goods, including cargo overalls, a long sleeve henley, rib hooded shacket, four fine silver plated slider charms, six floral sterling silver studs, turquoise baguette hoop earrings, a silvertone initial letter necklace and Suntouchable Whoa Glow SPF 30, police said.
Meixel allegedly provided the store employees a false name and attempted to flee the scene before state police could arrive, they said.
Mislaid property
MILL HALL -- A 54-year-old North Bend woman who used her debit card to withdraw $1,000 in cash while at the Walmart at 167 Hogan Boulevard in Bald Eagle Township supposedly left behind $500 in $20 bills that was presumed to be taken, according to state police at Lamar.
However, the money was simply misplaced and later found by the victim.
Home improvement scam
BEECH CREEK -- A 65-year-old man from Beech Creek was allegedly the victim of a home improvement scam after paying a private contractor $5,000 to perform a job at a residence at Haagen Lane in Beech Creek Township. However, the agreed upon work was not properly completed, according to state police at Rockview.
The investigation is currently still underway, police said.
Theft
MILL HALL -- Jacob Torres, 20, of Jackson, N.J., was charged with theft after failing to scan $17.96 worth of brownie granola bars at the Walmart at 167 Hogan Boulevard in Bald Eagle Township on Nov. 12, according to state police at Lamar.
Harassment
RENOVO -- A 17-year-old boy from the Borough of Renovo was charged with harassment for pushing a 37-year-old woman on Schuylkill Avenue in Renovo on Nov. 13, around noon, according to state police at Lamar.
Deer causes crash
LAMAR -- Marisa Barr, 46, of Staten Island, N.Y., struck a deer that entered into her lane of traffic on Interstate 80 eastbound in Lamar Township, according to state police at Lamar.
Her 2022 Honda CRV was towed from the scene by Tressler's Towing, police said.
