DUI alleged

LAMAR — A 52-year-old Philadelphia man driving a 2004 Lexus GX470 was arrested for driving under the influence on Nov. 30, shortly after 2 p.m., after he was discovered slumped over in the driver’s seat with an electronic duster in his hand, according to state police at Lamar.

The man was transported from where he was stopped on Block Auction Road in Lamar Township to Lock Haven for a legal blood draw and then transported to the Clinton County Correctional Facility pending arraignment, police said.

Harassment

MILL HALL — Tracie Pieniazek, 51, of Lock Haven, was arrested for harassment on Dec. 14 after an alleged physical altercation with a 51-year-old Lock Haven man on Fairway View Drive in Bald Eagle Township, according to state police at Lamar.

Theft by deception

LAMAR — A 63-year-old woman from Loganton fell victim to a Facebook scam, similar to an incident currently under investigation by the Renovo Borough Police Department, according to state police at Lamar.

Police reported that an individual, whose Facebook account appeared to have been hacked, posted a car for sale. The victim allegedly contacted the number listed in the post and agreed to pay $500 as a down payment for the vehicle. After transferring the money via Apple Pay, the victim stopped receiving communication from the scammer, police said.

State police advised the public to exercise caution when engaging in online transactions and to verify the legitimacy of sellers before sending money.

Theft by deception

LEIDY — On Dec. 4, an 80-year-old Renovo man in Leidy Township reported that $4,750 was stolen from his account after an unknown individual allegedly created a fraudulent check, which was reportedly approved by First Commonwealth Bank, according to state police at Lamar.

Theft of mislaid property

MILL HALL — On Dec. 12, a 72-year-old Lock Haven woman reported that $20 in cash back from a self-checkout register at the Walmart on Hogan Boulevard in Bald Eagle Township was taken by an unknown suspect after she accidentally left it at the register, according to state police at Lamar.

PFA violation

MILL HALL –On Dec. 12, state police at Lamar investigated a report of a Protection from Abuse Order violation on Hogan Boulevard in Bald Eagle Township. However, the investigation determined that a violation had not occurred, police said.

DUI alleged

MILL HALL — A 43-year-old Mill Hall man was arrested for driving under the influence on Nov. 7 at 7:29 p.m. on the 100 block of Girard Street in Mill Hall Borough, according to state police at Lamar.

State police reported that the arrest followed a traffic stop after it was discovered the 2019 Subaru Crosstrek he was driving had a suspended registration.

Theft of motor vehicle

MCELHATTAN — On Dec. 4, a report of a stolen trailer from First Quality on North Road in Wayne Township was made, according to state police at Lamar,

Through an investigation it was discovered a driver had accidentally taken the wrong trailer when picking it up from the business, police said.

The trailer was recovered and returned to its owner.
