Wife of man accused of sexual assault arrested for witness intimidation
LOCK HAVEN — A Lock Haven woman has been charged with witness intimidation after allegedly threatening the life of her husband’s reported sexual assault victim, according to the Woodward Township Police Department.
Fay Anne Willits, 40, of East Hillside Drive, Lock Haven, was served with a felony arrest warrant for intimidation of a victim or witness on Dec. 10, 2024, at her residence on East Hillside Drive after she allegedly said that she was going to kill the victim and another witness involved in a criminal case involving her husband, William A. Willits III, according to court documents.
According to his arrest affidavit, William Willits allegedly sexually assaulted an 18-year-old female relative of Fay’s who has severe intellectual disabilities.
Following an investigation that began in September, Woodward Township Police Officer Gregory Drollinger arrested William on Nov. 19 at approximately 6:39 p.m. at the home he shares with Fay, according to documentation.
An hour later, Drollinger briefly spoke with Fay, who, according to the affidavit, was “very vocal” with curses and threats. The documents state that she allegedly said, “If she (exp.) up his career, she’s going to be (exp.) dead.” When asked who she was referring to, she said she meant both the victim and witness, according to the affidavit.
According to police, the encounter was recorded on body camera.
The officer later contacted the victim, who expressed concern that, due to her proximity to Lock Haven and her familiarity with the Willitses, she could potentially be in danger.
On Dec. 10, Drollinger returned to Willits’ home to serve her with a warrant for the charges of witness intimidation and terroristic threats made against her husband’s victim, according to the affidavit.
Willits allegedly resisted arrest by locking herself inside her vehicle and refusing to exit when police approached her with the warrant for her arrest.
According to the affidavit, Willits stated she was resisting arrest and expressed a desire to speak with her husband and move her car, which officers denied, fearing she intended to escape.
After exiting the vehicle she allegedly refused to comply with officer commands, lunging at and kicking Officer Drollinger before being taken into custody.
