DUI crash
LOGANTON -- Neither driver was injured in a two vehicle crash along West Valley Road on Jan. 3, state police at Lamar said.
At 7:49 p.m., Aaron D. Harbach, 26, of Loganton, was traveling north in the roadway when his 2012 Chevrolet Silverado was struck from behind by a 2021 Ford Ranger, driven by Larry E. McCloskey, 65, of Loganton, who was traveling behind him, police said.
McCloskey's vehicle proceeded around Harbach's vehicle into the opposite lane and traveled along the roadway until exiting on its south side, striking a utility pole, police said.
McCloskey then began driving onto nearby Schracks Road and exited the western side before entering a ditch, police said.
McCloskey's vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene at a later date due to weather conditions, police said.
Harbach's vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene, police said.
A secondary police report filed by PSP Lamar cited McCloskey for DUI related charges following an investigation.
According to the report, following the crash McCloskey was arrested under suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs while also refusing to submit to a chemical test of blood, police said.
Charges were filed through District Judge Heidi Wright's office.
No injuries
BEECH CREEK -- The driver and passenger of a 2008 Ford Focus were not injured following a one vehicle crash along Laurel Run Road at its intersection with Tank Lane on Jan. 5, state police at Lamar said.
At 8 p.m., Dawn M. Manley, 50, of Williamsport, and her passenger, Alexis L. Brown, 24, of Beech Creek, were traveling south along Laurel Run Road when the vehicle failed to negotiate a left turn and exited the roadway, police said.
While leaving the roadway, the Ford drove over a guide rail end and struck a barbed wire fence before overturning toward its passenger side, police said.
Manley was cited in relation to driving a vehicle at safe speeds, police said.
Driver flees
AVIS -- State police at Lamar are looking for a driver involved in a two vehicle accident in the area of 3163 Woodward Ave., Pine Creek Township, on Dec. 31, 2024.
Police were called to the area at about 6:42 a.m. for reports of the crash which involved a 2011 Jeep Patriot and 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan.
One driver fled the scene before police arrived and the second driver, who suffered minor injuries, was unable to identify the other, police said.
No further details were available in the report.

Corruption of minors
RENOVO -- State police at Lamar are investigating a Childline report involving a Renovo teenager.
The report was filed on Jan. 7 in Noyes Township and, through the investigation, it was determined the report involved possible use of controlled substances, police said.
Hit and run
MILL HALL -- State police at Lamar are looking for information regarding a hit and run incident along state Route 220, Bald Eagle Township, on Jan. 2.
At 10:18 p.m., a 17-year-old Spring Mills girl was traveling south in the right lane when her 2005 Buick Lacrosse was struck in the rear bumper by another vehicle, police said.
The teen pulled over to exchange information but the other vehicle continued toward the Mill Hall exit of the highway, police said.
The vehicle was described as a red Dodge truck, police said.
