13 counts of child sex assault-related charges bound over

LOCK HAVEN — A 55-year-old man facing over a dozen charges related to child sexual assault cases was bound over for trial this week.
According to Crimewatch, Richard Bean, whose last known address was in Dallas, Pa., was charged by Sgt. Dennis Gill of the Pine Creek Police Department with 13 counts of various sexual assault charges against underage children.
These charges include: Rape of a Child (F1), Statutory Sexual Assault (F1), Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse with a Child (F1); Aggravated Indecent Assault of a Child; two counts of Corruption of Minors (F3); two counts of Indecent Assault Person (victim was less than 13 years of age (M2); two counts of Indecent Assault with a Person Less Than 16 Years of Age and two counts of Unlawful Contact with a Minor (F3).
On Feb. 10, Bean and his attorney, Patrick Johnson, chose to waive the preliminary hearing and moved all charges on to court.
Bean is scheduled for an arraignment on March 18 at 8:30 a.m. He remains in the Clinton County Correctional Facility in lieu of $250,000 bail, according to Crimewatch.
