Fire crews rescue person during grease fire in Water Street home

Fire crews were called to 214 E. Water St., Lock Haven, for a potential two-story structure fire on Feb. 4 at about 4:05 p.m. It was reported an active fire with entrapment, with the victim being extricated at about 4:15 p.m. Through an investigation it was determined the fire was the result of a grease fire due to unattended cooking. By 4:18 p.m., ventilation was in progress, and primary and secondary searches were completed. One victim was transported with possible smoke inhalation, according to reports from the scene. Lock Haven City Police were requested to shut down nearby roads while units fought the fire. Responding units included Station 6, 42, Lock Haven Police Department, and Station 22 and EMA 4.
