Simple assault/harassment
FARRANDSVILLE -- Multiple people were cited for simple assault or harassment following an altercation between neighbors in Colebrook Township on Feb. 5, state police at Lamar said.
At 5:15 p.m., police were called to Furnace Road for reports of an incident between neighbors, police said.
Following an investigation, a 38-year-old man, a 33-year-old woman and a 60-year-old man, all of Farrandsville, were cited in relation to simple assault/harassment, police said.
Identity theft
BEECH CREEK -- State police at Lamar are investigating an incident of identity theft which took place along Grant Street in Beech Creek Borough on Feb. 3, state police at Lamar said.
According to police, an unknown suspect attempted to steal the identity of a 54-year-old Bellefonte woman.
Retail theft
MILL HALL -- A 28-year-old Julian man was cited for retail theft after an incident at Advanced Auto Parts in Mill Hall, on Feb. 3, state police at Lamar said.
According to police, Cody Eggler is accused of taking car headlights, valued at $62.52, from the store along Hogan Boulevard, police said.
Charges were filed through District Judge Heidi Wright's office.
Assault investigation
RENOVO -- State police at Lamar investigated a report of assault that allegedly occurred on 12th Street in Renovo on Feb. 3.
Through the investigation, it was determined no crime occurred, police said.
Theft at store
MILL HALL -- A 33-year-old Lock Haven woman was cited for retail theft after an incident that occurred at the Dollar General in Bald Eagle Township on Feb. 3, state police at Lamar said.
Police were called to the store at 3:17 p.m. where it was discovered Brittany Lebert was observed removing fake nails from a package inside the store without purchasing the item, police said.
Serious injuries
sustained in crash
RENOVO -- The driver of a 2016 Ram 1500 suffered serious injuries following a one vehicle crash along Renovo Road in Chapman Township on Feb. 3, state police at Lamar said.
Jason A. Coleman, 44, of Renovo, was traveling along the roadway when, according to himself, he fell asleep while driving, causing the vehicle and its trailer to leave the roadway and strike a tree, police said.
Coleman was not wearing his seatbelt and sustained major injuries, also being trapped in the wrecked vehicle, police said.
Coleman was mechanically extricated by the Renovo Fire Department and transported from the scene by Renovo EMS, police said.
The vehicle was towed from the scene by Bressler's Towing, police said.
A citation in relation to driving on roadways laned for traffic was filed through District Judge Frank Mills office, police said.
Sexual assault investigation
LOCK HAVEN -- State police at Lamar are currently investigating an alleged sexual assault.
According to police, the alleged incident took place on Jan. 30 on state Route 220 between Lock Haven and Williamsport and involved a female victim, police said.
Vehicle damages bridge
SOUTH AVIS -- The driver of a 2019 International Harvester 4000 Series was cited after striking a bridge along Henry Street in Pine Creek Township on Jan. 25, state police at Lamar said.
John L. Eubanks, 42, of Irvington, Ala., was traveling with a flatbed trailer, hauling steel beams to Jersey Shore Steel, when he struck a railroad bridge, police said.
Eubanks failed to realize there was not enough clearance between the vehicle and bridge, police said.
After striking the bridge while heading south, Eubanks needed to navigate a sharp turn in the roadway, police said.
He attempted to back up to reposition for the turn, striking the bridge a second time, police said.
Eubanks left the scene without providing information to the property owner or police, police said.
A passer-by notified police of vehicle parts laying in the middle of the roadway, police said.
Responding officers cleared the debris and located the vehicle responsible a short distance from the crash scene, police said.
The bridge sustained minor damage and no injuries were reported, police said.
Eubanks was cited in relation to accidents involving damage to an attended vehicle or property through District Judge Keith Kibler's office.
Slippery conditions
lead to crash
LOGANTON -- The driver of a 2014 Ford F-150XLT was not injured following a one vehicle crash along Interstate 80 West in Greene Township on Jan. 19, state police at Lamar said.
Christopher T. Wallace, 36, of West Palm Beach, Fla., was traveling west in the right lane when he lost control of his vehicle due to slippery conditions, police said.
The vehicle veered right and struck the north guide rail, causing disabling damage, police said.
Police were assisted on the scene by Bressler's Towing.
Indecent assault of a minor
BEECH CREEK -- State police at Lamar are currently investigating an incident of indecent assault involving a Beech Creek boy which occurred between Dec. 1, 2024 and Jan. 4, 2025.
Sexual assault investigation
BEECH CREEK -- State police at Lamar are currently investigating an incident of sexual assault involving a teenage girl in Beech Creek Township which occurred between Oct. 1, 2024 and Oct. 31, 2024.
Bad check
LOGANTON -- A 54-year-old Lancaster woman was cited for bad checks following an incident along East South Street, Loganton, state police at Lamar said.
According to police, the woman used a bank check worth $129.89 to pay for miscellaneous groceries and goods which later bounced for insufficient funds, police said.
Multiple attempts to contact the owner were made to rectify the issue with negative results, police said.
A citation was filed through District Judge Heidi Wright's office, police said.
