Source of Rockey Road fire undetermined
LOGANTON -- A state police fire marshall was unable to determine the source of a fire that destroyed a garage and part of a residence along Rockey Road in Greene Township on Dec. 21, 2024, state police at Lamar said.
The fire occurred at about 2:30 p.m. at 306 Rockey Road, igniting in the attached garage and extending into the attic of the home, police said.
Following the investigation, it was determined the cause may have been due to a possible malfunction in the chimney system of the wood burning stove in the garage. However, due to the extent of the damage sustained by the fire, additional possible causes could not be ruled out, police said.
Due to this, the fire marshall said the cause could be undetermined.
A preliminary estimate of the damage is about $500,000, police said.
Disorderly conduct
LOCK HAVEN -- A 72-year-old Lock Haven man was cited for disorderly conduct after an incident along Woodward Avenue, Pine Creek Township, on Feb. 13, state police at Lamar said.
Police were called to 2553 Woodward Ave. at 8:10 a.m. by a 21-year-old Howard man who reported a farm tractor was blocking his 2010 Dodge, preventing it from moving.
During an investigation, it was determined Gerald McKernan moved the tractor behind the vehicle on purpose in an attempt to identify the driver, police said.
McKernan was cited with disorderly conduct through District Judge Keith Kibler's office.
Hit and run
LOGANTON -- The driver of a 2003 Honda Accord was not injured following a hit and run along Interstate 80 West in Greene Township on Dec. 1, 2024, state police at Lamar said.
At 7:05 p.m., Timothy J. Dupill, 18, of Princeton, Mass., was traveling west in the right lane when a 2013 Lexus RX Series moved from the left lane and struck his vehicle, police said.
The Lexus side-swiped Dupill's vehicle, causing him to strike a guide rail on the north shoulder, police said.
The Lexus left the scene and continued to travel along the interstate, police said.
Dupill followed the vehicle until mile marker 182 where he pulled onto the north shoulder, police said.
Dupill's vehicle sustained damage as a result of the crash, police said.
Noise investigation
MILL HALL -- State police at Lamar investigated a report of a possible gunshot in the area of North Water Street and Silo Road in Mill Hall on Dec. 11, 2024.
According to police, at 7:18 p.m. a caller stated they heard a noise that sounded like a gunshot in the surrounding area.
Officers canvassed the area and determined the source of the noise, which wasn't a gunshot or related to any criminal activity, police said.
DUI alleged
MILL HALL -- State police at Lamar's response to a fall victim in the Walmart parking lot along Hogan Boulevard, Bald Eagle Township, lead to the arrest of a woman for allegedly being under the influence.
At 2:59 p.m. on Jan. 27, police were called to the parking lot to assist an ambulance with a 64-year-old Jersey Shore woman, reported as a fall victim who was allegedly intoxicated, police said.
The woman was later taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence, police said.
Medical emergency
leads to crash
BEECH CREEK -- The driver of a 2016 Dodge Dart was transported to UPMC Lock Haven for minor injuries sustained in a one vehicle crash along Main Street in Beech Creek on Dec. 17, 2024, state police at Lamar said.
Shane R. Farley, 32, of Lock Haven, was traveling south on the roadway when he suffered a medical emergency, causing his vehicle to veer off the road and strike a light pole in the Uni-Mart parking lot, police said.
The vehicle continued south east, striking a gas pump before coming to rest about two feet away, police said.
Farley was not wearing his seat belt and was transported to the hospital by Beech Creek/Blanchard EMS for his injuries, police said.

Injuries reported
LOGANTON -- A 39-year-old Clearfield man was transported to UPMC Lock Haven for suspected injuries following a one vehicle crash along Interstate 80 East near mile marker 189, Greene Township, on Dec. 19, 2024, state police at Lamar said.
Brandon A. Wallace was traveling along the roadway when he lost control of a 1998 Peterbilt 379 and left the roadway, striking a rock wall, police said.
Wallace was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash and was transported to the hospital by Goodwill Hose Co., police said.
Police were assisted on the scene by Bressler's Towing.
Simple assault
RENOVO -- A 56-year-old Renovo man was transported to the Clinton County Correctional Facility following a domestic dispute along Gratzmar Avenue in Noyes Township on Jan. 25, state police at Lamar said.
At 11:58 a.m., officers were contacted by the victim, a 73-year-old woman, about being involved in a physical domestic where it was also reported that EMS responded to the residence due to injuries that were sustained, police said.
After arriving on the scene, it was discovered the victim was injured and the defendant was taken into custody on simple assault and harassment charges, police said.
Criminal trespass
McELHATTAN -- A 40-year-old Linden woman was cited for criminal trespass after an incident that took place on Feb. 17, state police at Lamar said.
According to police, at 5:58 a.m., Lindsay Wagner showed up to Truck Lite along McElhattan Drive in Wayne Township after she was previously informed she was not to be at the business or she'd face charges.
Wagner was cited for criminal trespass through District Judge Keith Kibler's office.
