Clinton County man gets nine years in child pornography case

WILLIAMSPORT — An area man was sentenced to nine years in federal prison for receipt of child pornography.

Felix Trepanowski, 24, was sentenced to 108 months’ imprisonment by Chief United States District Court Judge Matthew W. Brann.

According to the Acting United States Attorney John C. Gurganus, on May 21, 2024, FBI agents served a federal search warrant at Trepanowski’s residence in Clinton County. Pursuant to the warrant, agents seized and later analyzed his cell phone and computer. The forensic analysis uncovered approximately 2,420 images of child pornography on Trepanowski’s devices and showed that he received images of child pornography on multiple occasions between 2022 and 2024.

The investigation was conducted by the FBI-Philadelphia Division.

Assistant United States Attorney Tatum Wilson prosecuted the case.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse. Led by the United States Attorneys’ Offices and the Criminal Division’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section, Project Safe Childhood marshals along with federal, state and local resources are able to locate, apprehend and prosecute individuals who sexually exploit children, while striving to identify and rescue victims.
