Domestic violence
LOCK HAVEN — The Woodward Township Police department responded to a verbal dispute on Feb. 22 at around 9:45 p.m. in Woodward Township.
According to police, a married couple shifted a verbal dispute into a physical altercation causing minor injury. This investigation is ongoing.
Vehicle causes $13k damage
to car wash
DUNNSTOWN — On Feb. 7, around noon, the driver of a newer-model silver, gray or white Ford pickup truck with a mounted cap drove through the overhead exit door of the wash bay at the Dunnstown Laser Wash, 8 Woodward Ave., Lock Haven, according to the Woodward Township Police Department.
The driver, described as an older white man approximately 70 to 80 years of age, clean-shaven and wearing a ball cap at the time of the incident, is estimated to have caused $13,000 in damage, police said.
Harassment
RENOVO — Dennis Curran, 38, of Renovo, was charged with misdemeanor harassment by the Renovo Police Department after he allegedly sent a series of messages threatening harm to a victim in early February.
Bad check
SPRING MILLS — In November 2024, Barry McCloskey, 59, of Howard, was charged with theft after employees from Kreps Service Station alleged he failed to make good on a bounced check, according to state police at Rockview.
One injury in weather-related car accident
SNOW SHOE — On Feb. 20, Christopher Gudaitis, 50, of Avon, Ind., was involved in an accident on Interstate 80 after allegedly travelling too fast for inclement weather conditions, according to state police at Rockview.
Guaditis’s 2024 Kia Telluride left the right side of the roadway and struck an embankment with its front end, police said.
Guaditis was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center for an injury of unknown severity and was charged by state police for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
No charges filed
MILESBURG — An investigation by state police at Rockview into an alleged harassment incident on Feb. 21 in Boggs Township was determined to be unfounded, police said.
Injury to infant
GROVE PARK — On Feb. 20, around 1:30 p.m., state police at Rockview investigated an injury to an infant in Benner Township, according to police.
Sexual assault of a minor
PLEASANT GAP — State police at Rockview investigated an indecent assault of a seven-year-old from Bellefonte that took place in 2020 in Benner Township, police said.
Single-vehicle accident,
minor injuries
BLANCHARD — On Jan. 24 at 6:44 a.m., Sarah Kunes, 27, of Beech Creek, traveled off North Eagle Valley Road, west of Marsh Creek Road, in a 2014 Nissan Rogue and struck a guide rail, causing possible minor injuries, according to state police at Rockview.
Kunes was transported to Lock Haven Hospital for evaluation and was charged by police with driving on roadways laned for traffic.
Drug possession
MILESBURG — On Jan. 22, a 17-year-old boy from Bellefonte was allegedly found in possession of marijuana in Boggs Township, according to state police from Rockview.
Phone scam
ZION — A 56-year-old Bellefonte man was robbed out of $988 after falling victim to a phone scam on Jan. 23, according to state police at Rockview.
No injury roll-over
JACKSONVILLE — On Feb. 6 at 8:24 a.m., Weiwei Yuyang, 36, of Staten Island, N.Y., rolled his 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee while travelling eastbound on Interstate 80, according to state police at Rockview.
Yuyang was uninjured but he was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic, police said.
One vehicle crash
LOGANTON — Injuries were reported in a one vehicle crash along Interstate 80 West in Greene Township on Feb. 21, state police at Lamar said.
At 9:39 a.m., Stuart Grossman, 71, of Flushing, N.Y., was traveling in the right lane near mile marker 180 when, for an unknown reason, his 2019 Hyundai Genesis left the south side of the road, police said.
The vehicle struck a roadside embankment and overturned before coming to rest partially in the roadway, police said.
Both Grossman and his passenger, Lynn Grossman, 64, of Flushing, N.Y., suffered injuries and were transported by Goodwill Hose Ambulance Association to UPMC Williamsport, police said.
The vehicle was removed from the scene by Tressler’s Towing.
Rape investigations
LOCK HAVEN — State police at Lamar are investigating multiple possible sexual assaults.
The first is from an anonymous sexual assault kit collected by UPMC Lock Haven on Feb. 18.
The second is from another anonymous sexual assault kit that was collected by UPMC Lock Haven on Jan. 3.
No injuries in crash
BEECH CREEK — The driver of a 2023 Nissan Kicks was not injured following a crash along Eagle Valley Road, Beech Creek Township, on Dec. 15, 2024, state police at Lamar said.
At 6:20 p.m., Artic H. Kitchen, 23, of Bellefonte, was attempting to get back into the right lane of travel when he lost control of the vehicle and went into an uncontrolled skid, police said.
The vehicle traveled across the oncoming lane of travel and off the west side of the roadway, striking a barn, police said.
Kitchen was not injured but his vehicle suffered disabling damage, police said.
Winter conditions lead to crash
LOGANTON — The driver of a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee and their passenger suffered suspected minor injuries following a one vehicle crash along Interstate 80 West, Greene Township, on Feb. 20, state police at Lamar said.
Susana A. Callender, 48, and her passengers, John M. Callender, 49, and a 17-year-old, all of Port Washington, N.Y., were traveling west when their vehicle lost traction due to winter conditions and slid into a ditch off the right side of the roadway and overturned, police said.
The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was removed from the scene by Bressler’s Towing.
Both the driver and the other adult passenger suffered suspected minor injuries and were treated on the scene by Goodwill Hose Ambulance Association, police said.
Theft of funds
MILL HALL — State police at Lamar are currently investigating an almost $300 theft that occurred that was reported on Feb. 20.
According to police, a 62-year-old Mill Hall man reported an unauthorized transaction of $275 was made in his account.
Theft of clothing
MILL HALL — A 46-year-old Beech Creek woman was arrested and cited for retail theft after state police at Lamar were called to Walmart along Hogan Boulevard in Bald Eagle Township.
On Feb. 20 at 3:05 p.m., police were called to the store where it was determined Belinda Crust allegedly committed retail theft by not scanning baby clothing valued at $31.96, police said.
Bad check
LOGANTON — State police at Lamar received a report of a bad check in Loganton Borough on Feb. 17.
According to police, on Nov. 25, 2024, a bad check worth $144.47 was written to Scenic Ridge Foods for grocery-related items by a known actor at the store, police said.
Disorderly conduct
LOCK HAVEN — Jennifer Rupert, 52, of Lock Haven was cited for disorderly conduct following an incident that occurred on Feb. 16 at 12 p.m. near the intersection of Bellefonte Avenue and North Hampton Street, Lock Haven, state police at Lamar said.
The citation was filed through District Judge Keith Kibler’s office.
Domestic incident
RAUCHTOWN — A 30-year-old Jersey Shore woman was cited for harassment following an incident along Rauchtown Road, Crawford Township, on Feb. 18, state police at Lamar said.
At 9:48 p.m., police were dispatched to the area for a domestic no longer in progress where the victim — a 33-year-old Jersey Shore man — alleged Autumn Geyer struck him several times with her hand on the head during an argument, police said.
Geyer was cited for harassment and left the scene, police said.
Drug possession
MILL HALL — A 45-year-old Loganton man was found in possession of methamphetamine after an investigation along Hogan Boulevard, Bald Eagle Township, on Feb. 13, state police at Lamar said.
Police were called to the parking lot of Ruby Tuesday at 10:39 p.m. for reports of a suspicious 2004 Ford Explorer in the area, police said.
During an investigation, Jeremy Slaterbeck was found in possession of the drug and charged with drug possession, police said.
Slaterbeck was lodged in the Clinton County Correctional Facility to await arraignment, police said.
Two vehicle crash
LAMAR — Suspected minor injuries were reported in a two vehicle crash along Nittany Valley Drive in Porter Township on Feb. 16, state police at Lamar said.
Jakub M. Swider, 37, of Trevor, Wis., was exiting a parking lot in a 2023 Volvo tractor trailer onto the roadway when he entered the pathway of a 2021 Nissan Rogue, driven by a 17-year-old Lock Haven female, police said.
The teen driver, who was traveling about 30 miles per hour, was unable to stop in time and struck the tractor trailer, police said.
Both vehicles were disabled as a result of the crash with the teen reporting suspected minor injuries and being transported to UPMC Lock Haven by Goodwill Hose Ambulance Association, police said.
Swider was cited in relation to vehicle entering or crossing a roadway as a result of the crash, police said.
