Mirror damaged

LOGANTON — On April 27, at approximately 5:25 p.m., state police at Lamar were called to I-80 East at milemarker 188 in Greene Township for a traffic incident.

According to police, Zhongzhi Sun, 33, of Brooklyn, N.Y., was traveling in the left lane when the passenger side mirror of his 2025 Chrysler Pacifica was struck by a motorcyclist’s handlebars, believed to be traveling at a high rate of speed.

Police said the motorcyclist fled the scene without providing information.

One vehicle accident

LAMAR — On April 30, at 3:36 a.m., state police at Lamar were called to 4245 Long Run Road in Greene Township for the report of a downed telephone pole and vehicle crash.

According to police, William Smith, Jr., 19, of Loganton, was traveling west on Long Run Road at 45 mph when he observed a downed telephone pole in the westbound lane of travel. Smith steered his vehicle into the eastbound lane to avoid the pole before attempting to correct the lane change.

Police said Smith lost control of his 2003 Chevrolet S10 and traveled off the shoulder striking a tree.

Police said Smith was not injured but was cited.

Prostitution

RENOVO — Christina Heaton, 49, of Renovo, was charged with burglary, criminal trespass, indecent exposure, open lewdness and prostitution by the Renovo Police Department, stemming from multiple incidents between 2024 and May 8, 2025, according to police.

Heaton allegedly entered another person’s apartment on the 300 block of Huron Ave dozens of times without permission or notice, sometimes without clothes, and would proposition the victim for sex in exchange for money, Renovo police said.

Overturned

vehicle, suspected minor injury

MILESBURG — Doniyor Abdullaev, 32, of Philadelphia, was charged with careless driving after striking a guide rail on Interstate 80 eastbound in Boggs Township with his 2019 Volvo, before continuing into a ditch and overturning onto its passenger side, according to state police at Rockview.

Abdullaev sustained suspected minor injuries as a result of the crash.

Sideswipe on I-99

BELLEFONTE — On May 6, a 2023 Peterbilt truck sideswiped a 2018 Freightliner on Interstate 99 northbound in Benner Township, causing minor damage to the Freightliner’s passenger side mirror, according to state police at Rockview.

No injuries were reported, and no charges were filed.

Distracted driver

SNYDERTOWN — A crash occurred along the 600 block of Snydertown Road in Walker Township on May 6 after the operator of a 2004 Ford Explorer, distracted by their dog in the vehicle, traveled off the side of the roadway, hitting two mailboxes and a utility pole, according to state police at Rockview.

No injuries were reported, and no charges were filed. West Penn Power responded to the scene regarding the struck utility pole.

PFA Violation

REBERSBURG — David Peck, 45, of Millheim, was taken into custody for violating a Protection from Abuse Order on May 8, according to state police at Rockview.

Police said Peck contacted a protected person via Facebook, in violation of the order.

Drug Paraphernalia

UNIONVILLE — Two individuals were found in possession of drug paraphernalia on Main Street in Unionville Borough on May 8 around 1 p.m., according to state police at Rockview.

Charges are forthcoming, police said.

Two vehicle crash

SNOW SHOE — Trace A. Chordas, 21, of North Cambria, was traveling westbound on Interstate 80 in Snow Shoe Township in his 2023 Volkswagen Jetta when he struck a parked tractor trailer on the right side of the road, according to state police at Rockview.

The truck, a 2024 Freightliner, sustained damage to its trailer’s rear wheel, and the Jetta sustained disabling damage, police said.

Neither operator was injured, but a passenger in Chordas’s vehicle was taken to the hospital for treatment of suspected minor injuries, police said.

Airbag deployment

BELLEFONTE –On May 7, a vehicle traveling on Benner Pike struck an embankment on the right side of the roadway, causing disabling damage to the vehicle, according to state police at Rockview.

The operator was not injured, but the airbag was deployed as a result of the crash.

DUI

SNOW SHOE — On May 14, shortly after 1 a.m., an unidentified driver was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol after PSP Rockview responded to a report of a crash on Interstate 80 westbound in Snow Shoe Township, according to state police at Rockview.

DUI

BELLEFONTE — On May 7, around 11:30 p.m., an unidentified driver was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol after PSP Rockview responded to a report of a crash on Benner Pike in Benner Township, according to state police at Rockview.
