Coroner called to water rescue in Noyes Twp.

RENOVO — The Clinton County Coroner was called to a water rescue on Wednesday evening after emergency responders searched the West Branch of the Susquehanna River during water rescue.

At approximately 3:10 p.m. on July 2, emergency crews were dispatched to a reported water rescue in the area of Renovo Road and Cooks Run Road, Noyes Township, near the river.

According to initial reports from the scene, a farm tractor was discovered half-submerged in the water, with no sign of the operator, who had last been seen around 11:30 a.m.

A multi-agency response was initiated, bringing together water rescue teams from across Clinton County, including assistance from the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission, Clinton County EMA and the Pennsylvania State Police helicopter.

After an extensive search lasting approximately 3 hours and 41 minutes, the missing individual was located near 1654 Renovo Road. The Clinton County Coroner was later called to the scene. The cause of the incident remains under investigation.

Units responding included: Station 29, Station 6, Station 8, Station 27, Clinton County EMA, Fish & Boat Commission, PSP, County 10, and the PSP Helicopter.
