Reckless Endangerment

LAMAR — State police at Lamar were called to an address on Beagle Road in Lamar Township on May 2 for the report of a reckless endangerment incident.

Connie Bunnell, 60, of York, was arrested following the incident that involved one victim, a 94-year-old Mill Hall man, police said.

An investigation into the matter is ongoing, police said.

Teacher assaulted

MILL HALL — State police were called to Central Mountain High School on April 30 about 11 a.m. for the report of a teacher assaulted by a student.

Police said a physical incident took place involving a 16-year-old male, of Lock Haven, and a teacher at the school in Bald Eagle Township.

Police said the juvenile proceeded to shoulder check the teacher two times before swinging at the teacher with an open fist. The teacher did not fight back during the altercation, police said.

Police said that the student was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct. Charges were filed through the Clinton County Juvenile Probation Office.

U-Haul causes crash

LAMAR — State police at Lamar were called to Interstate 80 Westbound near milemarker 171.2 in Porter Township on May 8 for an accident investigation.

Police said the operator of a 2020 Mercedes-Benz was traveling in the left lane and alleged that a U-Haul truck veered into his lane of travel.

The operator swerved to avoid a collision with the U-Haul but overreacted, causing the Mercedes-Benz to strike a guiderail, according to police.

Police said the U-Haul continued travelling west bound and was not struck in the incident.

Police said there were no injuries and that the vehicle was driveable.

PennDOT was notified of the damages to the guiderail.

Retail theft

MILL HALL — State police at Lamar were called to Weis Market in the Millbrook Plaza, Bald Eagle Township on March 5 for the report of retail theft.

Police said a 62-year-old male, of Lock Haven, was arrested and charges were filed through District Judge Heidi Wright’s office.

Firearms violation

MILL HALL — State police at Lamar charged a 56-year-old Mill Hall female with a firearm sale/transfer violation on Jan. 18, 2025.

Police said their investigation into this PICS violation is continuing.

Trailer overturned

LOGANTON — State police at Lamar were called to Interstate 80 near mile marker 191.2 in Greene Township on May 8 around 12:22 p.m. for the report of an accident.

Police said that Jeanette Rice, 72, of Lancaster, was operating a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado when she lost control while negotiating a left curve in the roadway causing its trailing unit to overturn onto its right side.

Police said that Rice and her passenger, Ronald Rice, 74, of Lancaster, were not injured.

Burglary

FLEMINGTON — State police at Lamar were called May 9 around 3:15 p.m. for a burglary in progress along High Street in Flemington Borough.

Police said the victims in the incident were a 31-year-old Lock Haven male and a 20-year-old Flemington female.

Police said that upon further investigation the incident was determined to be unfounded.

Two vehicle crash

MILL HALL — State police at Lamar were called to the area of 3076 Eagle Valley Road in Bald Eagle Township on June 20 for the report of a two vehicle accident.

Police said Melissa Fedak, 37, of Mill Hall, was operating a 2025 Kia Sportage and was stopped in the northbound lane preparing to turn left onto Country Club Lane when a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze, driven by Harold Bower, 71, of Lock Haven, approached from behind.

Bower made an evasive maneuver, but was unable to avoid a rear end collision, police said.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Martin Motors, police said.

Police said that Bower sustained a minor injury in the crash and was transported by Goodwill Hose Co. Ambulance to Geisinger Jersey Shore.

Bower will be cited for following too closely, police said.

Raccoons cause crash

LOCK HAVEN — State police at Lamar were called to the 400 block of McKinney Road in Wayne Township on May 9 at approximately 7:50 a.m. for the report of an accident caused by raccoons crossing the roadway.

According to police, David Lohr, 42, of Lock Haven, was traveling east on McKinney Road when multiple raccoons entered the roadway.

Lohr attempted to swerve his 2012 Nissan Rogue around the raccoons and lost control, causing the vehicle to travel off the roadway and strike a tree, police said.

Police said that Lohr was not injured in the crash.

One vehicle crash

MILL HALL — State police at Lamar were called to an accident on state Route 220 near mile marker 110 in Bald Eagle Township on May 9 about 7:19 a.m.

According to police, Jennifer Young, 33, of Howard, was operating a 2012 Ford Focus and lost control while negotiating a right hand curve in rainy weather conditions.

Police said Young scraped a guiderail for approximately five yards before coming to an uncontrolled stop in the left travel lane.

Young was wearing her lap and shoulder belt and was not injured in the incident, police said.

Two vehicle accident

FLEMINGTON — On May 8 at approximately 6:30 p.m., state police at Lamar were called to 543 High St., Flemington for the report of a two vehicle accident.

According to police, Billie Topp, 42, of Lock Haven, was operating a 2017 Hyundai Accent and exiting the parking lot at the address when she failed to observe a 2020 Jeep Wrangler, driven by Courtney Rager, 29, of Mill Hall, traveling on High Street.

Police said that Topp struck the passenger side of the Jeep causing damages to both vehicles.

The Hyundai was towed from the scene by Martin Motors.

Police said there were no injuries to either operator, but Topp would be cited for her role in the crash.

Hit and Run

FLEMINGTON — On May 11 at approximately 4:20 p.m., state police at Lamar were called to 529 High St., Flemington for the report of a hit and run accident.

Police said an unknown driver operating a red Honda SUV failed to properly and safely enter into the public roadway while leaving from a parking lot.

A 2001 Dodge Durango being driven by Heaven Yeagle, 19, of Lock Haven, was unable to stop in time and struck the SUV causing minor damage to both vehicles, police said.

According to police, Yeagle pulled over to exchange information but the driver of the red Honda drove away from the scene.

Freightliner overturns

LOGANTON — On June 12 about about 11 p.m., state police at Lamar were called to Interstate 80 near mile marker 191.2 in Greene Township for the report of a Freightliner overturned blocking both eastbound lanes of travel.

Police said Daren McLeod, 50, of Texarkana, Texas, was operating a 2017 Freightliner Cascadia when the truck overturned after negotiating a slight left curve in the roadway.

The truck struck a guiderail off the south side of the roadway and came to a final rest blocking both lanes of travel, police said.

McLeod was not injured in the accident.
