Two vehicle accident

MILESBURG — On July 7, around 11 a.m., state police at Rockview were called to a two vehicle crash on South Eagle Valley Road at the intersection with the I-80 East ramp in Boggs Township.

Police said Angela M. Lucas, 60, of Milesburg, was traveling south on S. Eagle Valley Road in a 2009 Dodge Caravan when Earl D. Stauffer, 70, of Bellefonte, turned left from S. Eagle Valley Road onto the I-80 Eastbound ramp. The Lucas vehicle struck Stauffer’s 2001 Dodge on the passenger side causing disabling damage to both vehicles.

Police said that both operators were injured in the mishap but only Lucas was transported to the hospital. Stauffer was cited for his role in causing the accident.

Police were assisted at the scene by Rees’ Towing, Rich’s Amoco, Citizen’s Hook and Ladder in Milesburg, Bellefonte EMS and the Pleasant Gap Ambulance service.

Failure to make

repairs

BELLEFONTE — State police at Rockview received a report of a theft that occurred at 252 Burd Lane in Walker Township on May 27.

Police said the victim, Margaret Wilkins, 84, of Bellefonte, paid Joseph Martz, 46, of Beech Creek, $1,450 to perform a repair to her roof.

Police said that Martz took the money but did not perform the roof repair.

Charges against Martz were filed through District Justice Kelley Gillette-Walker’s office in Bellefonte.

Stalking

investigation

LAMAR — State police at Lamar are investigating a reported incident of stalking/harassment.

According to police, the incident occurred on July 24 at 10:38 a.m. along Boyd Lane in Lamar Township and involved a 51-year-old victim.

Terroristic threats

MILL HALL — A 38-year-old Lock Haven man was arrested and charged with terroristic threats following an incident along Frederick Street in Mill Hall on July 23, state police at Lamar said.

At 2 p.m., police were called to the area for reports of a threatening message.

Through an investigation, police determined the messages met the criteria for terroristic threats, police said.

Charges were filed through District Judge Heidi Wright’s office.

PFA violation

LAMAR — A 38-year-old Mill Hall woman was cited for violating a protection from abuse order on July 30 in Lamar Township, state police at Lamar said.

According to police, Alivia Feidler was found to have posted a picture of the protected party on social media which violated the PFA.

Four charged in

domestic dispute

MILL HALL — Multiple individuals were charged with harassment following an incident along Girard Street in Mill Hall on July 28, state police at Lamar said.

At 9:19 p.m., police were called to the area for a physical domestic, police said.

Four individuals were cited for harassment — a 37-year-old Bellefonte man, and a 22-year-old man, a 56-year-old woman and a 24-year-old woman, all of Mill Hall — through District Judge Heidi Wright’s office, police said.

DUI alleged

FLEMINGTON — A 39-year-old Lock Haven man was arrested for driving under the influence following an incident along Canal Street in Flemington on July 26, state police at Lamar said.

At 2 a.m., police stopped a 2013 white Ford Escape for vehicle violations when, through an investigation, it was determined the driver was under the influence, police said.

Chemical testing was consented to and charges are pending results, police said.

RENOVO — State police at Lamar reportd Milwaukee brand power tools were found along Renovo Road on July 26.

Hit and run accident

BEECH CREEK — No injuries were reported in a two vehicle hit and run crash along Laurel Run Road in Bald Eagle Township on July 25, state police at Lamar said.

At 10 p.m., police said a 2010 Subaru Outback, driven by Blaise A. Dauberman, 23, of Beech Creek, was traveling north along the roadway when his vehicle clipped the driver-side mirror of a 2019 GMC, driven by Mariah D. Belcher, 27, of Jersey Shore, while the vehicles crossed a bridge on opposite sides, police said.

Belcher continued to drive without stopping to exchange information, police said.

Dauberman turned around and followed the vehicle for several miles before pulling over and contacting police, police said.

No injuries were reported and a citation in relation to duty to give information and render aid was being issued, police said.

One vehicle accident

LOGANTON — A 20-year-old Lakewood, N.J., man was cited following a one vehicle accident along Interstate 80 West near mile marker 189 in Greene Township on July 27, state police at Lamar said.

At 3 a.m., Elimelech A. Feitman was traveling along the roadway when his 2025 Toyota Grand Highlander side-swiped the left side guide rail due to swerving his vehicle while traveling at a high rate of speed, police said.

No injuries were reported and police were assisted on scene by Sugar Valley Vol. Fire Co. and Bressler’s Towing, police said.

Feitman was cited in relation to driving on roadways laned for traffic, police said.

Hydroplaning

causes crash

LOGANTON — No injuries were reported in a two vehicle crash along Interstate 80 East near mile marker 187 in Greene Township on July 26, state police at Lamar said.

At 3:46 p.m., a 2021 Subaru Crosstrek, driven by Geri S. Hoffman, 22, of Northumberland, was traveling in the left lane attempting to overtake a 2020 Freightliner, driven by Murad Shams, 26, of Philadelphia, when her vehicle hydroplaned due to road conditions, police said.

Hoffman’s vehicle traveled into the right lane, striking the passenger side of the Freightliner before traveling off the south side of the roadway and striking a ditch, police said.

Shams was able to come to a controlled stop on the right shoulder, police said.

Hoffman was charged in relation to driving at safe speed and her vehicle was towed from the scene by Bressler’s Towing, police said.

Retail theft

MILL HALL — Charges of retail theft were filed against a 56-year-old Lock Haven man following an incident at Lowes Home Improvement along Hogan Boulevard in Mill Hall, state police at Lamar said.

On July 8 at 1:06 p.m., police received a report of retail theft. The following items were allegedly taken by the arrestee: a Husqvarna two gallon sprayer, valued at $40.48; a Simpson Morflex 30-foot hose, valued at $49.98; Ortho Home Defense Insect Killer, valued at $16.98; Citrusafe 23 fluid ounce grill cleaner, valued at $7.98; and Weber grill cleaner spray, valued at $10.99.

Charges were filed through District Judge Heidi Wright’s office.

Vehicle rear-ended

LAMAR — One person suffered possible injuries in a two vehicle crash along Nittany Valley Drive in Porter Township on July 25, state police at Lamar said.

At 12:54 p.m., a 17-year-old, of Montoursville, was traveling behind a 2017 Toyota Camry, driven by Ellen R. Boll, 25, of Tallahassee, Fla., when Boll had to slow due to the vehicle in front of her breaking for unknown reasons, police said.

The 17-year-old failed to brake in time and struck the Camry with her 2014 Buick Encore, police said.

Both vehicles pulled to the side of the roadway so as not to impede traffic, police said.

The 17-year-old suffered possible injuries but refused transport, police said.

Police were assisted on scene by Tressler’s Towing.

Physical harassment

MILL HALL — On July 22 at 8:40 p.m., state police at Lamar investigated an incident of physical harassment along Pennsylvania Avenue in Bald Eagle Township.

According to police, the incident involved a 40-year-old Jersey Shore man and 37-year-old Beech Creek man and followed an apparent road-rage incident, police said.

Harassment and other related charges were filed against the Beech Creek man through District Judge Heidi Wright’s office, police said.

DUI crash

RENOVO — A 21-year-old Lock Haven woman was arrested for driving under the influence following a crash along Erie Avenue in Renovo Borough on July 3, state police at Lamar said.

According to police, at 10:53 p.m., Lynnea M. Kirk was traveling east on the roadway when her 2021 Hyundai Venue collided with a legally parked 2008 Nissan Maxima on the right side of the roadway, police said.

Kirk’s vehicle suffered disabling damage to its 1 o’clock position while the Maxima sustained damage to its 6 o’clock position, police said.

Kirk was taken into custody for DUI and cited for driving under the influence and unsafe driving, police said.

Police were assisted on the scene by the Renovo Fire Department.

Cause of fire

undetermined

LOCK HAVEN — The cause of a structure fire at 13 Linden St., Lock Haven, will remain undetermined, according to state police at Lamar.

The fire took place at about 8:49 p.m. on July 4, with Lock Haven City Fire Department responding to battle the blaze, police said.

Once the fire was out, a PSP fire marshall was called to the scene to conduct an investigation and determing the cause of the fire, police said.

It is believed the fire originated in a second floor bedroom but, due to the extent of the damage sustained to the structure, a cause could not be determined, police said.

MILL HALL — State police at Lamar are investigating an incident of terroristic threats that occurred on July 22 along Sugar Run Road.
