JERSEY SHORE -- On Sept. 15, the Lycoming Regional Police Department took reports from several local businesses of overnight break-ins that occurred. NAPA Auto Parts, at 100 Bridge St., and Eck’s Agway, at 112 Harris St., in Jersey Shore Borough, were both entered.
It is believed the break-ins occurred around 2-3 a.m. on Sept. 15.
NAPA Auto Parts told The Express on Tuesday that money was stolen and the property was damaged.
Agway's Ben Eck said he believed nothing was taken from the business, though a window used to gain entry was broken and the office was rummaged through.
"The damage he caused is probably going to cost me more than anything he stole," Eck said. Agway was where the perpetrator was caught on surveillance video.
The suspect is described as a tall, slender, white male wearing dark clothing, a baseball style hat and boots.
Police are asking the public to review their home surveillance cameras during the overnight hours to look for any persons of interest matching the suspect’s description. In addition, if anyone noticed anything suspicious overnight that could be related to these break-ins, please contact Detective Mahosky from the Lycoming Regional Police Department at 570-323-4987, Extension 465. The Lycoming Regional Police Department thanked the community for their continued support and assistance.
