ATV accident

BEECH CREEK — A 17-year-old female was reported with suspected minor injuries after a single ATV accident on Beech Creek Mountain Road on Aug. 8 at 7:54 p.m., according to state police at Lamar.

The driver was allegedly traveling too fast for road conditions, resulting in over-correction of the vehicle and loss of control, police said.

The driver bailed from the ATV before it collided with a tree on the right side of the roadway, police said.

The driver is said to have sustained minor injuries, according to police, who were assisted on scene by Beech Creek-Blanchard Fire Co., Flemington EMS and the Beech Creek Ambulance Co.

No injuries in

two-car crash

MILL HALL — No injuries were reported following a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Hogan Boulevard and Mill Hall Road on Aug. 6, according to state police at Lamar.

At 3:09 p.m., a 1999 Ford, driven by Ronald W. Baney, 67, of Beech Creek, failed to yield to a solid red light while traveling southbound on Hogan Boulevard, police said.

After proceeding through the intersection, Baney struck a 2013 Honda, driven by Judy L. Durkin, 67, of Lock Haven, who was traveling through a solid green turning light at the intersection, police said.

Southbound traffic was detoured onto Country Club Lane for approximately 30 minutes, police said.

Single car crash

McELHATTAN — No injuries were reported in a single car crash on Pine Mountain Road on July 21, according to state police at Lamar.

At 4:23 a.m., a 1993 Chevrolet, driven by James A. Berry, 19, of Lock Haven, left the roadway and hit a tree on the right side, police said.

The collision caused disabling damage to the front of the Chevrolet and the standing tree, police said.

No injuries were reported and Berry was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol/controlled substance, police said.

Vehicle hits parked car

JERSEY SHORE — According to state police at Lamar, a 2017 Chevrolet, driven by Zachary R. Fenton, 19, of Sugar Run, struck a disabled/parked vehicle.

While traveling southbound on 200, near mile marker 118, Fenton crossed over the white fog line, resulting in the crash, police said.

After striking the parked Chev., Fenton was overturned and struck the guide rail, police said.

Fenton was cited with driving on roadways laned for traffic, according to police.

Two-vehicle crash

FLEMINGTON — Police responded to a two car crash at the intersection of High Street and Huston Street on Aug. 5, according to state police of Lamar.

At 10:05 a.m., a 2018 Nissan, driven by Dionne G. Werts, 55, of North Bend, failed to stop at a solid red light, police said.

After proceeding through the intersection, Werts struck a 2020 Chrysler, driven by Lysa M. Dauber, 26, of Lock Haven, police said.

Following the initial impact, Werts continued north before ending on the right side of the road, police said.

No injuries were reported, police said.

Young pedestrian hit on Benner Pike

BELLEFONTE — A 14-year-old boy from Romansville suffered minor injuries after being struck by a vehicle while crossing Benner Pike, according to state police.

Police said the driver, Jody Sharer, 59, of Bellefonte, was not charged in the incident, which took place Sept. 28.

Harvester hit

and run

MILESBURG — State police are investigating a hit-and-run that occurred on I-80 westbound in Boggs Township, where an unknown vehicle struck the driver’s side of an International Harvester driven by a Mill Hall man while attempting to pass.

The crash, which happened around 1:10 p.m. Oct. 6, disabled the 1998 Paystar Harvester. The at-fault driver continued west on the interstate without rendering information, police said.
