Scrap metal theft

MILLHEIM — $400 worth of copper pipes were reported stolen Oct. 6 from a 44-year-old man on E. Main Street in Millheim Borough, according to state police at Rockview.

Authorities did not disclose any additional information.

Theft from vehicle

LOCK HAVEN — A 38-year-old Lock Haven man reported several items were stolen from his 2012 Hyundai Sonata sometime overnight between Oct. 10 and 11, according to state police at Lamar.

The items stolen were Pokemon cards, suboxone and a Chime bank card, police said.

Two-vehicle accident

AVIS — Police responded to a two-vehicle accident in Avis on Oct. 11, according to state police at Lamar.

A 2017 Mitsubishi, driven by Erica S. Confer, 50, of Lock Haven, was traveling westbound on Woodward Ave. when she stopped in the turning lane at Carl Kephart Blvd, police said.

Confer proceeded to make a left turn across travel lanes but did not observe a 2015 Subaru driven by Nicole R. Mahosky, 42, of Jersey Shore, police said,

Mahosky was unable to stop in time before colliding with Confer, according to police.

No injuries were reported. Police were assisted by Avis Fire Co.

DUI

LOCK HAVEN — Samuel M. Snyder, 23, of Jersey Shore, is under investigation for driving a 2012 Toyota Tacoma while under the influence of alcohol following a single vehicle accident near the 2100 block of Island Road, according to state police at Lamar.

On Oct. 11, Snyder veered into the southbound travel lane before continuing off the road and struck a tree with his front end, police said.

Snyder allegedly stated he was unable to see due to moisture on the windshield, police said.

The Tacoma sustained disabling damage and was assisted by Show Case Auto, according to police.

Snyder was not injured and refused medical treatment provided by Jersey Shore Area EMS, police said.

Single vehicle crash

LOGANTON — Police responded to a single vehicle on I-80 near mile marker 189.9, on Oct. 11, according to state police at Lamar.

Joseph W. Gross, 69, of Indianapolis, Ind., allegedly fell asleep while traveling in the left lane of I-80, then continued traveling into the south side of the highway where he struck a guide rail, police said.

The 2015 Toyota Tacoma sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene by Bressler’s Towing, police said.

Gross sustained suspected minor injuries as a result of the accident but refused medical transport, police said.

Residential burglary

LOCK HAVEN — A 66-year-old woman reported an alleged active burglary at her home near W. Cardinal Drive on Oct. 12, according to state police at Lamar.

On the scene it was determined there was no burglary and no crimes were committed, police said.

Harassment

UNIONVILLE — State police at Rockview are investigating a harassment incident that occurred Oct. 17 at 11:20 p.m. on South Eagle Valley Road.

A 43-year-old Beech Creek man was charged with harassment involving physical contact against a 35-year-old Bellefonte man, police said.

Missing items

MILESBURG — On Sept. 5, a 51-year-old Bellefonte woman reported several items were missing from her home on Sparrow Drive, in Boggs Township, according to state police at Rockview.

The items included a kid’s monster truck valued at $20, two dollar bills and other miscellaneous bills, police said.
