Prohibited weapon seized
HOWARD — State police at Rockview reported that a “prohibited weapon” and THC wax were seized from Joshua Rupert, 38, of Bellefonte, at a residence in the 300 block of Bomboy Road in Howard Township on Dec. 3 around 6 a.m.
Rupert was arrested, police said.
Tractor trailer jackknifed
SNOW SHOE — While traveling north on I-80 in Snow Shoe Township on Dec. 2, just before 7 a.m., Hasan Cataloglu, 32, of Pelham, N.H., lost traction and slid from the right lane to the left, causing the 2020 Freightliner Cascadia he was operating to jackknife and strike an embankment, according to state police at Rockview.
Yodgora Davronova, 31, of Amelia, Ohio, swerved to avoid the jackknifed tractor trailer, which was blocking both lanes, and subsequently left the roadway and struck an embankment with her 2013 Volvo VNL.
No injuries were reported.
Two-car accident
BELLEFONTE — Mark Struble, 63, of Bellefonte, was charged after causing a crash involving a 2013 Ford Edge when he failed to ensure the roadway was clear after proceeding through a stop sign, according to state police at Rockview.
Struble was transported by EMS for suspected minor injuries. No injuries were reported in the other vehicle, a 2024 Ford Bronco, police said.
Stolen four-wheeler
MILESBURG — An investigation into the theft of a Yamaha four-wheeler belonging to a 15-year-old Bellefonte boy led to the arrest of an 18-year-old Bellefonte man, according to state police at Rockview.
The theft occurred Nov. 16 near Tavern Road in Milesburg, police said.
Retail theft
SNOW SHOE — Rita Bahus, 45, of Karthus, was arrested and charged with felony retail theft after she allegedly stole two lighters from the Snow Shoe Dollar General Store on Nov. 27, according to state police at Rockview.
