Vehicle strikes tree

LOCK HAVEN — The driver of a 2011 Chevrolet was transported for suspected minor injuries following a crash along Bear Pen Hollow Road in Gallagher Township on Dec. 16, state police at Lamar said.

Jacques Paul, 37, of Lock Haven, was traveling along the 2400 block of the road when he failed to negotiate a left curve, traveling off the east side of the road and striking a tree, police said.

Paul was transported to UPMC Lock Haven for his injuries by Lock Haven EMS, police said.

Police were assisted on the scene by Lock Haven Fire Department, Woolrich EMS and Jim’s Auto & Body, police said.

Paul was cited in relation to driving at safe speeds.

Tire explodes, causing crash

LOGANTON — An exploding tire caused a two-vehicle crash along Interstate 80 near mile marker 190 in Greene Township on Dec. 8, state police at Lamar said.

Adrien L. Ace, 56, of Burgettstown, Pa., was traveling in the left lane and negotiating a right curve in the roadway when his 2016 Ford F-150 XLT’s right rear tire exploded, causing his driver’s side tires to exit to the south of the road, police said.

Ace over-corrected the vehicle, re-entering the roadway and crossing from the left lane into the right in the path of a 2018 Kenworth, driven by Luis R. Silva Flores, 32, which struck the vehicle and caused disabling damage, police said.

Neither driver or Ace’s passenger, Richard R. Lee, Jr., 26, of Burgettstown, Pa., was injured in the crash, police said.

Police were assisted on the scene by Bressler’s Towing.

Two cited for harassment

AVIS — Two were cited for harassment in a domestic altercation that took place in an Avis residence on Dec. 13, state police at Lamar said.

According to police, at 11:58 p.m., officers were called to the residence where three harassment citations were filed through District Judge Keith Kibbler’s office.

EMT assaulted

RENOVO — A member of local EMS was assaulted while responding to an incident along 13th Street in Renovo on Dec. 13, state police at Lamar said.

At 2:11 a.m., police were called to the area for an unresponsive male in a Buick Le Sabre, police said.

EMS arrived on the scene and during treatment, Jeremiah Wilson, 42, of Renovo, assaulted a 39-year-old Lock Haven man, police said.

Wilson was found to be under the influence of alcohol at the time, police said.

Criminal charges of aggravated assault and driving under the influence are pending, police said.

Firearm stolen from vehicle

CASTANEA — A $1,300 firearm was stolen from a vehicle along McElhattan Avenue in Castanea between Dec. 4 and Dec. 6, state police at Lamar said.

According to police, a 72-year-old Lock Haven man reported a Ruger Southport, CT 1911 stainless steel semi-automatic pistol with a wooden grip was taken from his Ford vehicle in that timeframe.

Child endangerment

investigation

BEECH CREEK — State police at Lamar received a report of a child ingesting THC gummies in Beech Creek Borough on Nov. 25.

An investigation into the incident is on-going, police said.
