Student altercation
MILL HALL — On Nov. 13 at approximately 10 a.m., an incident occurred between students on the bus, according to state police at Lamar.
Charges against a 15-year-old male are pending, police said.
Found key
BELLEFONTE — A black Ford key was found Jan. 7 on state game lands in Benner Township, near the 1300 block of Shiloh Road, according to state police at Rockview.
Anyone with information about the owner is asked to contact PSP Rockview at 814-355-7545.
Drug possession
CENTRE HALL — John Kormanec, 44, of Centre Hall, was charged with drug possession after indicators of criminal activity were observed during a traffic stop, according to state police at Rockview.
Kormanec was pulled over for a Title 75 violation in the 100 block of Potter Street in Centre Hall Borough at 11:11 p.m. on Nov. 26, 2025, police said. He refused to exit the vehicle and was forcefully removed before the vehicle was towed and a search warrant was obtained.
The search revealed multiple controlled substances and related paraphernalia, police said.
Single-vehicle crash
BELLEFONTE — Drew R. MacAfee, 26, of Bellefonte, was charged with driving at an unsafe speed after losing control of his vehicle and shearing off a utility pole on Fillmore Road in Benner Township with his 2006 BMW on Jan. 6 at about 10:15 p.m., according to state police at Rockview.
Two-vehicle accident
PLEASANT GAP — John Shaffer, III, 65, of Greenville, Pa., was charged with driving on roadways laned for traffic after striking a 2026 Toyota Sienna on Jan. 8, while merging on I-80 East in Spring Township, according to state police at Rockview.
The 23-year-old Howard woman driving the Toyota suffered suspected minor injuries and was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center for evaluation, police said.
Two vehicle accident
MILL HALL — A crash occurred heading north on Nittany Valley Drive, Lamar Township on Dec. 25 at approximately 2:32 a.m., according to state police at Lamar.
A 2012 Hyundai Elantra, driven by Michael A. Nantipa Tendetza, 20, of St. Paul, Minn., side swiped a 2012 Toyota Sienna, driven by Nik M. Samkanai, 19, of Columbia Heights, Minn., while traveling in the same direction, police said.
Following initial contact, both vehicles traveled off the east side of the northbound travel lane and struck a mailbox, police said.
Two passengers involved in the accident were transported to UPMC Lock Haven with possible injuries, police said.
Police were assisted on scene by Showcase Towing, Station 21 and Station 11.
Driver strikes billboard
POTTERS MILLS — Joshua S. Wagner, 19, of Blue Bell, Pa., was charged with unsafe driving and driving under the influence after allegedly crashing his 2020 Infiniti QX50 into a billboard along the General Potter Highway in Potter Township at 2:29 a.m. on Jan. 16, according to state police at Rockview.
Wagner claimed a friend, who fled the scene, was operating the vehicle at the time of the crash. He suffered suspected minor injuries, according to police.
Police said Wagner was found to be under the influence and was taken into custody.
