Chainsaw stolen
LOGANTON — Police responded to a residence near Old Hill Road in Logan Township on Dec. 12 regarding a stolen chainsaw, according to state police at Lamar.
Through an investigation, it was determined the chainsaw was stolen between Dec. 3 and Dec. 11, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
Altercation between students
MILL HALL — Police responded to an incident on Nov. 13 that occurred between students on the bus, according to state police at Lamar.
Charges are pending, police said.
DUI
LOCK HAVEN — Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on the 2200 block of Island Road, on Dec. 10, at approximately 11:26 p.m., according to state police at Lamar.
During the investigation, it was determined the driver. Padraic Delaney, 26, of Lock Haven, was under the influence of alcohol, police said.
Distracted driving
BEECH CREEK — According to state police at Lamar, on Nov. 25, a 2024 Ram 2500 driven by Stephen A. Miles, 31, of Big Run, was traveling northbound on North Eagle Valley Road (Route 150) near the intersection of Grahams Lane when it veered right and struck the end cap of a guide rail before rolling onto the driver’s side door.
Miles was distracted while drinking coffee when the accident occurred, police said.
Miles sustained minor injuries, police said.
The vehicle was towed from the scene by S & R Towing.
Accident with injuries
MILL HALL — An accident occurred on Dec. 8, when the driver of a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta was traveling at a high rate of speed, failed to negotiate a curve and attempted to over correct the vehicle, causing the vehicle to drive off the shoulder before striking a culvert, according to state police at Lamar.
After striking the culvert, the vehicle became airborne and the driver was ejected through the driver’s side window, police said.
The vehicle continued traveling southbound through the air before coming to an uncontrolled stop, striking a large tree, police said.
The driver was located approximately 10 feet from the vehicle and was transported to UPMC Williamsport with unknown injuries, police said.
Terroristic threats
RENOVO — Police investigated a report of terroristic threats on Nov. 26 along Huron Avenue in Renovo, according to state police at Lamar.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
Retail theft
MILL HALL — Dasie Bilbay, 41, of Julian, was charged with retail theft following an arrest at Walmart on Nov. 22, according to state police at Lamar.
During a trip to the store on Nov. 9, Bilbay stole several items totaling approximately $370, police said.
During Bilbay’s second trip to the store on Nov. 22, several items totaling approximately $177 were stolen, police said.
Charges have been filed through MDJ 25-3-02.
Private property crash
PLEASANT GAP — On Dec. 23, shortly after 2 p.m., state police at Rockview investigated a private property crash at SilcoTek on Penn Tech Drive, Benner Township, according to police.
The investigation continues, police said.
Deer struck
HUBLERSBURG — The driver of a 2022 GM Sierra struck a deer that ran in front of their vehicle on Nittany Valley Drive, Walker Township, on Dec. 17 around 4:45 p.m., according to state police at Rockview.
No injuries were reported as a result of the crash, but the vehicle suffered a bent front bumper.
Slippery road causes crash
SNOW SHOE — While traveling on East Sycamore Road in Snow Shoe Township on Dec. 13 at 3:27 p.m. Elijah Fry, 19, of Karthus, failed to negotiate a left-hand curve in the road due to slippery road conditions, according to state police at Rockview,
Fry struck an embankment with the 2012 Volkswagen Beetle he was operating, causing disabling damage, police said.
Though Fry was uninjured, he was charged with driving at an unsafe speed by law enforcement, police said. His vehicle was towed from the scene.
Vehicle loses control
MILESBURG — On Dec. 19, shortly before 1 p.m., Angelina N. Jannone, 20, of Youngstown, Ohio, lost control of the 2018 Chevrolet Equinox she was driving on Interstate-80 in Boggs Township and struck a guide rail, according to state police at Rockview.
Jannone was charged with driving on roadways laned for traffic, but there were no injuries reported by police.
Vehicle loses control
JERSEY SHORE — On Dec. 12, Roger N. Almonte, 38, of Jersey City, N.J., lost control of the 2008 Honda CRV he was driving on I-80 in Greene Township as he was entering the highway and struck a guide rail, according to state police at Lamar.
No injuries were reported by police.
Failure to yield
NITTANY — Carrie Luan, 25, of Ledgewood, N.J., was charged with failure to yield after a crash on Dec. 20, 2025, while turning onto Hoy Road from Nittany Valley Drive in Walker Township, according to state police at Rockview.
Police said Luan, who was driving a 2018 Honda CR-V, was attempting to make a left-hand turn onto Hoy Road when her vehicle was struck by a 2014 Ram driven by John W. Fike, III, 49, of Howard.
No injuries were reported.
Overturned vehicle
UNIONVILLE — Brian E. Martin, 46, of Pleasant Gap, is facing multiple vehicle code violations following a crash on Governors Road in Union Township at about 5 p.m. Dec. 31, 2025, according to state police at Rockview.
Police said Martin, whose primary violation was speeding, failed to negotiate a left-hand curve in the roadway, causing his 2005 Honda CRV to leave the road and overturn.
Police said Martin fled the scene with the help of a friend who gave him a ride home. The driver sustained minor injuries to his hands in the accident.
Mail theft
LOCK HAVEN — Woodward Township police responded to a theft complaint near Woodland Drive, Lock Haven, on Dec. 7.
The complainant reported a package was stolen from a mailbox that had been delivered and placed in the mailbox, police said.
