Hit and run

LOGANTON — On Jan. 9 at approximately 7:58 a.m., a hit and run accident was reported to police which had occurred the day before at approximately 9 a.m., according to state police at Lamar.

A 2001 Ford F250 pickup truck was left at the scene of the crash with no operator, police said.

Contact was made at a later date with the operator, Blaze M. Bierly, 27, of Loganton, who received two citations filed through MDJ 25-3-02, police said.

Pedestrian hit

MILL HALL — A crash occurred on Dec. 31 at approximately 7:04 a.m., as a 9-year-old male was traveling west on East End Mountain Road on a kick scooter when a 2025 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Thomas W Rossman, 52, of Mill Hall, failed to see the child and struck him with the passenger side mirror, according to state police at Lamar.

After impact, Rossman proceeded along the road before turning around to render aid, police said.

The juvenile was flown to a Danville hospital by Life Flight #2 for further treatment, police said.

Retail theft

MILL HALL — Connor Borner, 24, of Lock Haven, was arrested following several shoplifting incidents at Walmart on Nov. 13 and 21 and Dec. 2 and 3, according to state police at Lamar.

Stolen items included miscellaneous grocery items totalling $80.52, police said.

MILL HALL — PSP Lamar is investigating a retail theft that occurred at Walmart on Jan. 10 at approximately 6:34 p.m. involving a 21-year-old Renovo female.

Single vehicle accident

BEECH CREEK — A crash occurred on Jan. 9 at approximately 7:11 a.m. when Alexander B. Terry, 36, of Beech Creek, lost control of his vehicle, went off the roadway and proceeded to ride the berm before striking a tree, according to state police at Lamar.

No injuries were reported at the scene, police said.

Hit and run

MILL HALL — On Jan. 8 at approximately 2:14 p.m., a hit and run crash was reported at some point between 11:30 and 11:51 a.m. when an unknown vehicle struck a parked vehicle belonging to Dawn M. Smith, 54, of Jersey Shore, leaving the scene without providing any information, according to state police at Lamar.

The parked vehicle was unoccupied at the time and sustained only minor damage, police said.
