Man arrested for violating

custody order; takes children from home

RENOVO — Daniel Delaney, 37, of Renovo, was arrested by the Renovo Police Department following an incident that occurred during the evening of Jan. 26 at a residence along Schuylkill Avenue.

Delaney allegedly entered a residence without authorization or notice and unlawfully removed three children in violation of a court custody order, police said.

Delaney has been charged through District Judge Frank Mills’s office with felonies of burglary and criminal trespass and three counts of a misdemeanor of interference of custody with children, police said.

Delaney was arraigned before District Judge Heidi Wright on Jan. 29 and bail was set at $25,000 unsecured, police said.

Burglary

RENOVO — James Evans, 57, of Renovo, was arrested following burglary incidents that occurred on three dates between Jan. 5 and Jan. 9, according to the Renovo Police Department.

During this timeframe, Evans allegedly breached the lock on an apartment at Ransdorf Manor, 350 Huron Ave., and removed multiple household items valued around $125, police said.

On Jan. 15, Evans was charged with two counts of burglary, a first degree felony; two counts of criminal trespass, a second degree felony; two counts of theft by unlawful taking, a second degree misdemeanor; two counts of receiving stolen property, a second degree misdemeanor; and one count of summary criminal mischief, police said.

Evans was arraigned by District Judge Frank Mills and committed to the Clinton County Correctional Facility in lieu of $20,000 bail, police said.

Single vehicle accident

RENOVO — A crash occurred at approximately 2:52 p.m. on Jan. 17 on Tamarack Road, near the intersection with Red Hill Trail, Leidy Township, according to state police at Lamar.

Fred W. Brooks, 69, of Renovo, was traveling south on the roadway when he failed to negotiate a sharp left curve in the road, striking a roadside embankment with his 2018 Ford Escape, ending on its roof, police said.

Brooks reported minor injuries during the crash, police said.

Sexual assault

RENOVO — On Jan. 2, at approximately 3 p.m., police received a report of a sexual assault near Erie Avenue, according to state police at Lamar.

Police are continuing their investigation.

Physical harassment

FLEMINGTON — Police were notified of a physical altercation that occurred on Dec. 27 at approximately 12 p.m. along Frederick Street, Flemington Borough, according to state police at Lamar.

The alleged suspect made unwanted physical contact with the 22-year-old female victim during an argument, police said.

False allegations to law enforcement

RENOVO — The Renovo Police Department has charged a 15-year-old Renovo female stemming from an incident which occurred on Jan. 22 at Bucktail Area High School, according to Renovo Police.

The juvenile reported a false allegation of rape, which was determined to not have occurred, police said.

The juvenile will be charged through Clinton County Juvenile Court with two counts of False Reports to Law Enforcement, police said.
