Driver hits median barrier
BELLEFONTE –On Feb. 3 at 11:06 p.m., Nicholas C. Gatton, 21, of Waynesboro, struck a cable barrier in the median of Interstate 99 in Benner Township while understeering around a curve in the roadway, according to state police at Rockview.
Gatton, who was operating a 2020 Honda Civic, was charged with driving on roadways laned for traffic, police said.
Honda rolls over on highway
JACKSONVILLE — The driver of a 2026 Honda HR-V began passing a 2025 Freightliner Cascadia and lost control while traveling west on Interstate 80 in Marion Township, according to state police at Rockview.
The Honda entered the Cascadia’s lane and struck the side of its trailer before returning to its original lane and rolling over into the median, police said.
The Honda’s 49-year-old driver from Cleveland, Ohio, and a 20-year-old passenger, also from Cleveland, were wearing seatbelts and reported no injuries but were transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center for further evaluation.
No one was charged in the crash.
Car overturns in crash
CENTRE HALL — Charles R. Wolfhope, Jr., 54, of Aaronsburg, was charged following a crash on the 3400 block of Penns Valley Pike in Potter Township on March 3 at 4:21 a.m., after he lost control of his vehicle, struck an embankment and overturned, according to state police at Rockview.
Wolfhope and a passenger, a 50-year-old woman from Aaronsburg, both suffered minor injuries in the crash of the 2002 Mazda B-Series. Wolfhope was charged with driving on roadways laned for traffic, police said.
Truck overturns on interstate
SNOW SHOE — Artur Tonoyan, 39, of Sacramento, Calif., was charged with driving on roadways laned for traffic after overturning his 2024 Ford F-350 onto its passenger side on Interstate 80 East in Snow Shoe Township on March 3 at 5:17 a.m., according to state police at Rockview.
The truck sustained minor damage, and Tonoyan suffered possible injuries despite wearing a seatbelt, police said.
