Medical emergency causes crash, driver charged
ZION — A 63-year-old driver from Canton, Pa., suffered a medical emergency while driving on Nittany Valley Drive in Walker Township on March 1 at 3:16 p.m., causing him to leave his lane, drive into a ditch and strike a tree with his 2022 Ford F-350, according to state police at Rockview.
Neither the driver nor the passenger were injured, though the driver was treated at the scene and later charged with driving on roadways laned for traffic. Police said no witnesses to the incident were reported.
Woman charged with
criminal trespassing
DUNNSTOWN — On Dec. 9, 2025, Brooke (Dickey) Wagner, 35, of Lock Haven, was found to be at a property on Crist Lane in Dunnstown after being notified by the owner she was not to be on the property, according to Woodward Township Police.
Wagner was charged with criminal trespass but failed to respond to the charges and a warrant was issued for her arrest, police said.
On March 12, Wagner was located and taken into custody by township police and arraigned before District Judge Kibler on the warrant, police said.
Struck utility pole
CENTRE HALL — A 40-year-old Woodward woman sustained suspected minor injuries after her vehicle struck a utility pole in the 100 block of Luse Road in Potter Township just before midnight Jan. 20, according to state police at Rockview.
Police said the woman’s PT Cruiser sustained significant damage in the crash and that she was not wearing a seat belt.
She was treated at the scene by Penns Valley EMS.
Missing trailer
JULIAN — According to state police at Rockview, Qadar Logistics, of Julian, contacted state police about a trailer the company believed to be stolen sometime between Feb. 28 and March 3.
During the investigation, the business owner located the trailer and refused to continue with the investigation, police said.
Car crash injures child
BLANCHARD — While attempting to turn onto Marsh Creek Road from N. Eagle Valley Road, Ashlee D. Flory, 31, of Bellefonte, struck the rear of a 2003 Chevrolet Blazer with her 2020 Chevrolet Spark, according to state police at Rockview.
An 8-year-old passenger in Flory’s vehicle suffered suspected minor injuries in the crash, which also left the car inoperable.
Speeding charges filed
after crash
ZION — Michael S. Darerow, 46, of Yeagertown, was charged with driving at an unsafe speed after failing to slow for a vehicle stopped to turn from E. College Avenue onto Walker Meadow Boulevard in Walker Township on March 11, according to state police at Rockview.
Darerow’s 2018 Chevrolet Express had its airbags deploy, and he was not wearing a seatbelt, police said. Both drivers were evaluated by EMS and found to be uninjured.
