Deaths possible in Sunday’s second alarm structure fire
MILL HALL — Emergency responders throughout the region responded to a second alarm structure fire Sunday morning at 797 Long Run Road, Lamar Township.
While The Express had not received official confirmation by press time, WNEP was reporting Sunday afternoon that Coroner Zach Hanna was on scene, and that state police had confirmed to WNEP that seven people were dead as a result of the fire.
On Sunday afternoon, people began circulating a GoFundMe on social media, alleging the loss of David Stolzfus’s wife, Sara, as well as their six children.
Clinton County units were originally dispatched to 769 Long Run Road. Lycoming County units were confirmed responding to and operating at the 797 address.
Jersey Shore Rescue 45 was requested for mutual aid as firefighters continued fire suppression efforts and primary search operations for those reported trapped inside the structure.
This remains a developing situation, and additional details will be released as they are confirmed.
