Commercial vehicle accident
JERSEY SHORE — On Feb. 23, while traveling East on I-80 at mile marker 191, Akashdeep Singh, 25, of Manteca, Calif., attempted to negotiate a left turn in the roadway and struck a guardrail along the south side of the road, according to state police at Lamar.
Following the initial impact, the trailing unit rotated clockwise around the vehicle and struck the guardrail, police said.
Hit and run
RAUCHTOWN — A crash occurred as a Honda Pilot and a 2005 Subaru Forester, driven by Ronald G. Harton, III, 43, of Camp Hill, Pa., were traveling on route 880 on Feb. 16 at approximately 5:56 a.m., according to state police at Lamar.
Drug possession investigation at Penns Valley High School
MILLHEIM — At 9:19 a.m. on March 31, state police at Rockview responded to 4545 Penns Valley Road, the Penns Valley High School, for a report of a known student in possession of a THC vape pen, the police said.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
Suspect flees
MILESBURG — Harley Torres, 35, of Spring Mills, was charged with drug possession after state police at Rockview responded to the Milesburg United Methodist Church on Feb. 20 at 12:47 p.m. to assist Centre County Parole with apprehending him, police said.
Torres, who attempted to flee custody, was taken into custody without incident, police said. Upon arrest, police allegedly found him in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
