Snowy roads cause accident
FARRANDSVILLE — On Feb. 22, at approximately 8:12 a.m., a 2016 Subaru XV Crosstrek, driven by a 17-year-old Lock Haven male, was involved in a single vehicle accident on Farrandsville Road, according to state police at Lamar.
The driver was traveling eastbound when the vehicle lost traction on the roadway due to snow, police said.
The vehicle left the road via the berm and struck a road sign and a utility pole before coming to a final rest, police said.
No injuries were reported, police said.
PFA violation
SPRING MILLS — A 19-year-old Howard man allegedly violated a Protection from Abuse order the afternoon of April 1 near Shook Hollow Road in Gregg Township, according to state police at Rockview.
After receiving a report that a PFA involving a 49-year-old woman and a 1-year-old boy may have been violated, troopers investigated and determined a violation had occurred. Charges have been filed, police said.
Hydroplaning causes accident
MILESBURG — Hunter J. Etters, 26, of Howard, is under investigation for speeding after hydroplaning his 2021 Ford on Interstate 80 in Boggs Township on April 5 at about 8 a.m., according to state police at Rockview.
Etters was attempting to merge from the left lane into the right lane when he lost control of the vehicle after hydroplaning, police said. The Ford struck a guardrail head-on, spun several times and struck the guardrail again.
Etters was uninjured, and the vehicle was towed, police said.
Speeding driver hits tree,
then flees
BLANCHARD — An unknown driver believed to be speeding fled the scene after drifting off the left shoulder of Sayers Dam Road and striking a tree, according to state police at Rockview.
The crash occurred March 14 at about 6:51 p.m., police said.

Power tools stolen
POTTERS MILLS –Various power tools, valued around $500, were reported stolen from the 200 block of Bible Road in Potter Township, according to state police at Rockview.
The victim, a 52-year-old man from Burnham, Pa., reported the tools stolen on Feb. 4, 2026.
As of April 9, there were no leads in the case, police said.
