Drug possession
LOGANTON — State police at Lamar were dispatched to Sugar Valley Rural Charter School on Feb. 17 at approximately 11:55 a.m. for a report of a student in possession of a THC vape, police said.
The investigation is ongoing, according to police.
DUI
LOGANTON — Ethan A. Barner, 34, of Lock Haven, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence following a single vehicle accident on Feb. 18 at approximately 9:57 p.m., according to state police at Lamar.
Barner, driving a 2018 Nissan Rogue, was traveling east the 100 block of East Valley Road and failed to negotiate a left curve in the roadway, when the vehicle overcorrected and overturned, police said
No injuries were reported, police said.
Charges dropped in
Millheim crash
MILLHEIM — Speeding charges filed against Zachary J. Flory, 30, of Madisonburg, were withdrawn following a crash on the 200 block of Millheim Narrows, according to state police at Rockview.
The crash occurred March 24 at 7:50 a.m. when Flory, driving a 2016 Volkswagen Jetta, was allegedly traveling too fast for roadway conditions, struck ice and lost control.
The vehicle hit a guiderail, causing minor damage to the rail and disabling damage to the car, police said.
Flory told police he and his child, a 4-year-old seated in a forward-facing child seat in the rear, were uninjured. Flory said he would take the child to Mount Nittany Medical Center’s emergency room for evaluation, police said.
Charges dropped in second Millheim crash
MILLHEIM — Speeding charges filed against a 17-year-old Madisonburg driver following a crash on the 200 block of Millheim Narrows that injured a 15-year-old passenger have been withdrawn, according to state police at Rockview.
The crash occurred March 24 at 8:32 a.m. when the teenager, a driver of a 2005 Honda Accord, was allegedly traveling too fast for roadway conditions, struck ice and lost control. The vehicle hit an embankment on the right side of the road, then a guide rail on the left, causing minor damage to the rail and disabling damage to the vehicle, police said.
The 17-year-old driver told police he was not injured. The passenger, a 15-year-old Madisonburg girl, reported injuries, police said.
Lane violation crash
SNOW SHOE — Collin Murnyack, 21, of Clarence, was charged with failure to stay within a single lane after his vehicle left the roadway on the left side of Interstate 80 and became stuck in a ditch, according to state police at Rockview.
Murnyack was not injured in the 4 a.m. crash on Feb. 12 in Snow Shoe Township, police said.
Two charged in drug case
UNIONVILLE — A 44-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman, both of Bellefonte, were charged in connection with drug possession on Bennett Road in Union Township on the evening of March 20, according to state police at Rockview.
The investigation continues, police said.
Turkey smashes windshield
BELLEFONTE — John A. Cason, 32, of Orange Park, Fla., was traveling on Interstate 99 when a turkey struck his 2024 Volvo, shattering the windshield, according to state police at Rockview.
Cason suffered possible injuries in the March 29 crash at 8:16 p.m. but refused transport. His vehicle was towed from the scene, and no charges were filed, police said.
Car stuck in mud
UNIONVILLE — Jordan R. Dunkle, 34, of Julian, was charged with failure to stay within a single lane after driving off the right side of South Eagle Valley Road in Union Township on March 28 at 2:43 a.m., according to state police at Rockview.
Dunkle’s 2017 Subaru Impreza struck a mailbox and became stuck in the mud before coming to a stop. Police said she left the scene before later contacting PSP Rockview to report she was unable to get out, at which point a tow truck was called.
PFA violation investigated
BLANCHARD — A 28-year-old Blanchard man is under investigation for a possible Protection From Abuse order violation involving a 26-year-old Howard woman on March 17 in Liberty Township, according to state police at Rockview.
$500 in cash, gift cards stolen
MILESBURG — A 22-year-old Bellefonte woman reported March 5 at about 7 p.m. that $250 in cash and a $250 Amazon gift card were stolen, according to state police at Rockview.
The theft occurred near Mill Street in Boggs Township, and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
Dog law violation
BLANCHARD — Charges are pending against a 33-year-old woman in connection with a non-animal cruelty-related dog law violation on March 10 at 6:35 p.m. on Weaver Lane, according to state police.
Police identified the victim as a 24-year-old man from Howard.
Harassment investigation
CENTRE HALL — An investigation is ongoing into a harassment by physical contact incident at The Meadows in Potter Township on March 27 involving a 20-year-old Johnstown woman, according to state police at Rockview.
Fraudulent withdrawal reported
MILESBURG — Police are investigating the alleged fraudulent withdrawal of $148.99 from a 65-year-old Milesburg man’s bank account on March 27, according to state police at Rockview.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
$3,500 withdrawn in fraud case
SPRING MILLS — Police are investigating the alleged fraudulent withdrawal of $3,500 from a 58-year-old Spring Mills woman’s bank account on March 16, according to state police at Rockview.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
DUI
LOGANTON — On Feb. 18 at approximately 10 p.m., state police at Lamar investigated a single vehicle rollover in the 100 block of East Valley Road, police said.
It was found that the crash occurred due to a cellular device distraction, police said.
The operator of the 2018 Niassan Rogue, a 34-year-old man, of Lock Haven, was also found to be under the influence of alcohol, according to police.
Simple assault
LOCK HAVEN — On Feb. 11 at approximately 1:06 a.m., state police at Lamar responded to a location along Emerall Pond Lane for an incident involving simple assault by physical menace, police said.
Following an investigation, no charges were filed, police said.
Failure to comply
MILL HALL — On Feb. 6 at approximately 12:38 p.m., along Boyd Lane, a Megan’s Law failure to comply violation allegedly took place, according to state police at Lamar.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
Burglary
LOGANTON — According to state police at Lamar, between Feb. 6 and 8, an actor broke into Whitetail Construction, LLC and stole a Dewalt battery charger and batteries, value $229; laptop within backpack, value $150; and pens and highlighters, value $25.

Physical harassment
CASTANEA — On Feb. 21, at approximately 9:24 a.m., state police at Lamar responded to an address along West Brown Street for a report of an active domestic, according to state police at Lamar.
Through investigation, it was determined that the arrestee, an 18-year-old female, of Lock Haven, struck the victim with an open hand, police said.
Charges were filed through District Judge Keith Kibler’s office, police said.
Physical harassment
CASTANEA — On Feb. 12, at approximately 9 p.m., state police at Lamar responded to an address along Nittany Road to assist Children and Youth Services with an investigation, according to state police at Lamar.
Through investigation, it was determined that a juvenile kicked their father in the face during a disagreement, police said.
The juvenile was cited via NTC for harassment through District Judge Keith Kibler’s office, police said.
DUI
JERSEY SHORE — On Feb. 21, at approximately 1:42 a.m., troopers initiated a traffic stop on 6th Avenue, Jersey Shore, for traffic violations, according to state police at Lamar.
Upon investigation, it was found the operator, a 39-year-old female, of Jersey Shore, was under the influence of alcohol, police said.
Verbal altercation
becomes physical
FLEMINGTON — On Feb. 19, at approximately 10:38 p.m., state police at Lamar responded to an address along Sturdevant Street in Flemington for a verbal altercation.
Upon investigation, it was discovered the altercation became physical, police said.
Citations were filed through District Judge Keith Kibler’s office.
