Local woman faces additional charges following federal arrest for drug delivery

LOCK HAVEN — Following her April 28 arrest by the State College FBI office and State Police Vice/Narcotics unit, a 41-year-old woman is now facing additional charges.
According to a release from District Attorney Dave Strouse’s office via Crimewatch, Vesta Marie Jones, of state Route 44, Williamsport, was taken into custody in Woodward Township on a federal arrest warrant for possession with intent to deliver.
During the arrest, Jones was allegedly found in possession of 485 grams of methamphetamine, numerous non-prescribed pills and several items of drug paraphernalia indicative of sale and distribution.
She was housed at the Clinton County Correctional Facility awaiting federal arraignment and pending additional state charges for possession with intent to deliver.
Those state charges came through on May 1 while she was still incarcerated, according to another release from Crimewatch.
These charges were filed following a previous arrest by the Clinton County Drug Task Force for selling methamphetamine to an undercover informant.
Jones was charged with two counts of criminal use of a communication facility, a third degree felony, due to using her cell phone or other electronic devices to set up a deal; two counts of delivery of a controlled substance, a felony; and two counts of possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.
Jones was arraigned before District Judge Heidi Wright and was jailed at the Clinton County Correctional Facility in lieu of $50,000 monetary bail.
