Child injured in farming accident

REBERSBURG — A 3-year-old boy from Miles Township was flown to the hospital after being injured in a farming accident involving a horse-drawn planter, according to state police at Rockview.

At 5:07 p.m. May 4, state police were dispatched to 6600 Brush Valley Road in Miles Township to assist EMS with an injured child. The child was treated by local fire and EMS personnel before being flown to Geisinger Danville, where he remains under medical supervision.

The investigation remains ongoing, according to police.

DUI crash involving drugs

WINGATE — Tiffany Shultz, 55, of Bellefonte, was arrested after allegedly crashing a 2021 RAM truck while driving under the influence of drugs, according to state police at Rockview.

Police said Shultz left the roadway where she struck several mailboxes and a concrete barrier before overturning the vehicle.

Shultz, who was charged with lane departure, was transported to Geisinger Bellefonte for suspected serious injuries, according to police.

The crash occurred around 4:30 p.m. April 20 on Runville Road in Boggs Township.

According to police, two passengers were in the vehicle at the time of the crash, a 77-year-old and a 25-year-old man. Neither were noted injured.

Police said the investigation continues.

Trespassing

STATE COLLEGE — An individual on the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board’s self-exclusion list was found trespassing at Happy Valley Casino on May 8 around 10 p.m., according to state police at Rockview.

The person attempted to gain entry to the floor of the College Township casino, police said.

No injuries reported

in vehicle rollover

SNOW SHOE — A Snow Shoe woman escaped injury after her vehicle rolled multiple times in a crash May 15 in Snow Shoe Township, according to state police at Rockview.

Police said Alexa Baney, 19, was driving a 2004 Toyota Matrix southbound on E. Sycamore Road at approximately 11:16 a.m. when the vehicle struck loose gravel on the berm west of the intersection with Trestle Road.

The vehicle then traveled into an embankment and rolled an undetermined number of times before coming to rest on its tires, police said.

Baney was not injured and no charges were filed, according to police.

Struck utility pole

CENTRE HALL — A Michigan man was charged with lane departure after crashing into a utility pole May 16 in Potter Township, according to state police at Rockview.

Police said Ethan Olson, 20, of Saint Joseph, Mich., was driving a 2009 Honda Civic east on Penns Valley Pike at about 8:30 a.m. when the vehicle struck the pole.

Olson was not injured in the crash, police said.
