Renovo woman charged with disorderly conduct
RENOVO — A 24-year-old Renovo woman was charged with disorderly conduct after allegedly causing a disturbance at an apartment complex in the borough on May 1, Renovo Borough Police said.
Alyiah Torres-Gomez is accused of screaming in the apartment complex at night and smashing furniture which could be heard by other residents, police said.
A summons regarding the charges was sent by mail through District Judge Frank Mills’s office.
Stolen bank card
UNIONVILLE — On March 3, a 45-year-old Bellefonte woman reported her M&T Bank card was stolen along Purdue Mountain Road in Benner Township, according to state police at Rockview.

SCI Benner prisoner found dead of apparent suicide
BELLEFONTE — A 40-year-old man incarcerated at SCI Benner, 301 Institution Drive, Benner Township, was found deceased inside his cell on April 11, according to state police at Rockview.
After being located, police said life saving measures were attempted on the victim, Keith Levan, but were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Based on surveillance footage, police believe the man committed suicide sometime between 6:26 and 8:41 p.m.
Police said the footage confirmed the victim was alone in his cell at the time the suicide took place.
“All interviews and investigation confirm that no foul play took place,” the police said in a statement.
No information about the means of his death were made available.
Levan, formerly of Berwick, was incarcerated for violating sexual offender registration requirements stemming from a Columbia County conviction. He was charged in 2021 after authorities said he failed to update his address and did not attend a required Megan’s Law appointment with state police, according to NorthCentralPA.com.
