Police: Upcoming DUI checkpoint in Centre County
BELLEFONTE — State police at Rockview announced that a sobriety checkpoint will be conducted in Centre County in the coming weeks.
Motorists that encounter the checkpoint will be stopped briefly, police said.
Police said drivers may be detained for further investigation if there is indication they have consumed alcohol or controlled substances or committed any other violation of the law.
While the checkpoint’s primary purpose is to identify impaired drivers, police said all traffic laws will be enforced.
