Teenager attacks Meadows staff members
CENTRE HALL — A 13-year-old girl from Cresco is accused of damaging part of the Meadows Psychiatric Center in Potter Township and assaulting five staff members on May 21, according to state police at Rockview.
The girl is alleged to have assaulted a 28-year-old man from Tyrone, a 25-year-old woman from Houtzdale, a 31-year-old woman from Roaring Spring, a 47-year-old woman from State College and a 27-year-old woman, also from State College.
Four-vehicle accident; school bus involved
CENTRE HALL — Three people sustained suspected minor injuries in a four-vehicle crash on Penns Valley Pike in Potter Township on May 21, according to state police at Rockview.
The crash occurred after an unidentified 17-year-old girl from Spring Mills, who was following too closely, struck the rear of a 2015 Jeep Renegade with her 2009 Volvo, pushing it into a school bus and another vehicle.
The crash, which occurred around 3 p.m., resulted in charges against two drivers. The 17-year-old was charged with following too closely, and Michael G. Sweitzer, 63, of Coburn, was charged with failure to use restraint systems.
Sweitzer, the 17-year-old driver and a 10-year-old Centre Hall girl who was on the school bus were transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center for treatment.
Harassment at Walmart
MILL HALL — State police at Lamar responded to an allegation of harassment that occurred on April 24 at approximately 9:57 p.m. at Walmart, Hogan Boulevard, between a 36-year-old female and 34-year-old male, both of Jersey Shore.
The incident is currently under investigation, police said.
