Harassment charge

RENOVO — Brian Dwyer, Sr., 56, of Renovo, was cited for harassment following an incident along 7th Street in Renovo Borough on June 13, Renovo Borough Police said.

According to police, the charge stems from an alleged assault that occurred near Erie Avenue at about 11 a.m.

At the time, Dwyer allegedly struck a 24-year-old woman which was witnessed by two other witnesses, police said.

Dwyer was sent a summons through District Judge Frank Mills’s office.

Hit and run

BEECH CREEK — An unknown vehicle was traveling southbound on Laurel Run Road on May 9, at approximately 8:14 p.m., when it left the roadway via the east berm, striking a fence post and fence before continuing on the road, according to state police at Lamar.

The vehicle did sustain heavy damage to the driver’s side, leaving behind a fender, light and mirror before fleeing the scene, police said.

The vehicle was silver in color with a possible make and model of a 2010-2024 Toyota 4-Runner, police said.

Virtual theft

LAMAR — State police at Lamar are investigating a virtual theft reported on May 29, state police at Lamar said.

According to police, the 24-year-old victim said $850 was stolen from their debit card, police said.

One-vehicle crash

LOGANTON — No injuries were reported in a one vehicle crash along Interstate 80 west bound, in Greene Township, on June 1, state police at Lamar said.

At 12:36 a.m., Braily Adames, 27, of Reading, Pa., was traveling in the left lane near mile marker 186 when he attempted to pass another vehicle in his 2008 Freightliner Cascadia, police said.

Adames’ vehicle traveled off the left side of the road, overturning and causing the attached load to become unsecured, police said.

The vehicle came to a stop on its driver’s side in the median, police said.

Adames was wearing his seat belt and was cited in relation to driving on roadways laned for traffic, police said.

Harassment

LAMAR — A 48-year-old Macomb, Mich., man was cited for harassment following an incident along Nittany Valley Drive, Porter Township, state police at Lamar said.

On June 1 at 9:22 p.m., police were called to reports of an altercation between two men. Through an investigation, it was determined the 48-year-old attempted to engage in a verbal/physical altercation with a 46-year-old Leaender, Texas, man, police said.

Charges of harassment were filed through District Judge Heidi Wright’s office.

Medical episode causes

two-vehicle crash

LOGANTON — A medical episode led to a two vehicle crash along Interstate 80 in Greene Township on May 21, state police at Lamar said.

At about 11:13 p.m., a 2015 Mercedes Benz 350 Series, driven by Deitrich Broadnax, 60, of Orange, N.J., was traveling 10 miles per hour in the right lane when a 2020 International Coach MFG, driven by Marshal Mavunganidze, 41, of Gary, Ind., approached in the same lane traveling at the correct speed, police said.

Mavunganidze attempted to avoid a collision with Broadnax, veering into the left lane but, as he passed, the passenger side front tire collided with Broadnax’s vehicle, police said.

Broadnax’s vehicle sustained a rear flat tire and minor damage and Mavunganidze’s vehicle sustained minor damage to a tire rim, police said.

Broadnax was transported to UPMC Lock Haven for medical observation where it was determined she was suffering from a medical episode at the time of the crash, police said.

Vehicle hydroplanes

AVIS — The driver of a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu was not injured following a crash along state Route 220, Pine Creek Township on May 25, state police at Lamar said.

Brandi Mills, 41, of Lock Haven, was traveling north in the right lane when her vehicle hydroplaned on the wet road and spun 360 degrees, hitting a cable barrier on the left side of the road, police said.

The vehicle sustained minor damage and was able to be driven from the scene.

Mills was cited in relation to driving at safe speeds, police said.
