Child seriously injured in
four-vehicle crash
BLANCHARD — A 3-year-old child suffered serious suspected injuries in a four-vehicle crash on N. Eagle Valley Road at the intersection of Liberty Street near Blanchard, Liberty Township, on June 3, according to state police at Rockview.
Police said the child’s safety seat was being used improperly at the time of the crash. The child was transported to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville for evaluation.
The crash occurred just after 5 p.m. when Earl E. Dowlin, Jr., 77, of Lock Haven, operating a 2013 Nissan Frontier, struck the rear of a 2019 Subaru Impreza. The Subaru then entered the opposite lane of travel and collided with a 2012 BMW 535 Series, police said. A 2015 Ford F-150 XLT subsequently struck the BMW as it traveled between the Nissan and Subaru.
Three people suffered suspected minor injuries, including Dowlin, who later succumbed to his injuries, police said.
Theft by deception
LOCK HAVEN — State police at Lamar responded to a report of theft of services on April 12 at approximately 7 a.m. along Cider Press Road.
Through investigation, it was revealed that a known suspect charged $300 for bamboo clothing which the buyer, a 63-year-old, of Lock Haven, never received, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
Trespassing
RENOVO — State police at Lamar responded to an address along Bucky Road for a report of trespassing on May 10, police said.
Upon reviewing trail cameras, the victim, a 41-year-old Emporium man, reported an unknown suspect proceeding past his gate and onto his property earlier that day, according to state police.
The investigation is ongoing.
Domestic dispute
MILL HALL — On May 12 at approximately 7:08 p.m., state police at Lamar responded to an address along South Parsons Drive, Mill Hall, for a physical domestic dispute.
An 18-year-old woman, of Mill Hall, was charged with harassment for unwanted physical contact, police said.
Trespassing
MILL HALL — State police at Lamar were dispatched to 1043 Renovo Road on May 9 at approximately 6:35 p.m. for a report of trespassing.
Through investigation, suspects were identified and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
Car rear ended
NORTH BEND — On May 5 at approximately 4:46, a two vehicle crash occurred at 11890 Renovo Road after a 2026 Hyundai Elantra, driven by Mindy L Bloom, 31, of Renovo, struck the rear of a 2026 Subaru Crosstrek, driven by Donald E Weaver, 40, of Renovo, according to state police at Lamar.
Weaver was lawfully stopped in the lane of travel, waiting for the vehicle in front of him to turn left into a parking lot, police said.
No injuries were reported.
Harassment investigation
BEECH CREEK — State police at Lamar responded to a location along Main Street for a reported harassment of a 12-year-old girl on May 14 at approximately 7 a.m.
The investigation revealed the claims were unfounded and no further action took place, police said.
Driver falls asleep
LOGANTON — A 2015 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Barry G. Miller, 64, of Loganton, was involved in an accident that occurred on May 14 at approximately 7 a.m., on Pine Station Road after Miller fell asleep, according to state police at Lamar.
The vehicle traveled off the east side of the roadway and struck a small embankment with the front driver side tire before coming to a rest, police said.
No injuries were reported and the vehicle was towed from the scene by CPR Towing, police said.
Vehicle strikes tree
LOGANTON — On May 14, at approximately 7:32 p.m., a single vehicle accident took place at 437 Rockey Road, Greene Township, after a 2026 Kia K4, driven by Ukashah M. Ford, 22, of Williamsport, failed to navigate a curve in the roadway and struck a tree, according to state police at Lamar.
Ford sustained minor injuries and was not wearing his seatbelt. He was cited with traffic violations through MDJ 25-3-02, police said.
Police were assisted on scene by Sugar Valley Volunteer Fire Company, Goodwill Hose Company EMS and Bresslers Towing.
Domestic dispute
HOWARD — State police at Lamar responded to an address along Stryker Lane on May 16, at approximately 2:48 p.m., for a physical domestic dispute between a 39-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man, both of Lamar.
The man was charged with harassment through MDJ 25-3-02, police said.
DUI
MILL HALL — A crash occurred on May 17 at approximately 1:42 a.m., as Timothy M. Fox, 45, of Shickshinny, Pa., was traveling south in the 4100 block of Renovo Road and traveled off the right side of the roadway and made contact with the rock wall, according to state police at Lamar.
The vehicle, a 2019 Ford F250 Supercab, was pulling a piece of equipment that overturned during the crash, police said.
The vehicle came to a final rest along the right side of the roadway with the equipment across both travel lanes, blocking the roadway, police said.
Fox was arrested for DUI, police said.
