Two vehicle crash
AVIS -- Suspected minor injuries were reported in a two vehicle crash along Woodward Avenue at its intersection with state Route 150, Pine Creek Township, on July 2, state police at Lamar said.
At 4:55 p.m., Trinity A. Boush, 18, of Avis, and her passenger, Ava M. Berkheiser, 18, also of Avis, was traveling south on state Route 150 in a 2021 Hyundai Palisade and attempting to turn onto Carl Kephart Boulevard, but failed to yield the right of way to a 2010 Kia Forte, driven by Alex J. King, 32, of Montgomery, which was traveling north on the roadway, Boush's vehicle struck the other vehicle, police said.
Following the initial crash, both vehicles came to rest in the northbound lane of travel.
All involved in the crash, including King's passengers, Kayla K. King, 37, of Montgomery, and a 7-year-old Montgomery boy, suffered suspected injuries, police said.
Boush was cited in relation to vehicles turning left, police said.
Police were assisted on the scene by Showcase Towing, Avis Fire Department and Jersey Shore EMS.
Retail theft
LOCK HAVEN -- On July 7, at approximately 11:40 p.m., two juvenile males shoplifted several bottles of a malt alcoholic beverage "Banana 99" from Nittany Minit Mart and departed for a total of $73.52, according to Woodward Township police.
The two offenders, both aged 14, have been identified, police said.
Both juveniles are being charged with retail theft and possession of alcoholic beverages, police said.
Theft by unlawful taking
LOCK HAVEN -- Keith Chaplain, Jr. was charged with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and theft by deception for the theft of a riding lawnmower, stolen on June 6, according to Woodward Township police.
Chaplain was arrested on July 13 with a warrant issued June 16 after turning himself in, police said.
Chaplain was arraigned before District Judge Kibler and bail was set at $2,000, police said.
According to police, Chaplain is incarcerated in the Clinton County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.
North Bend woman charged with
resisting arrest
RENOVO -- Kelly Miller, 56, of North Bend, was arrested following an incident along Renovo Road, Chapman Township, on July 25, Renovo Borough Police said.
At about 1:56 p.m., police responded to an incident in the 1000 block of the road when, while attempting to arrest Miller in relation to a Protection from Abuse (PFA) violation, she resisted arrest, police said.
Miller allegedly ran on foot to try and gain access to her vehicle to further flee when police were "forced to subdue" her, stating she "was completely uncooperative and combative."
Miller was taken into custody and brought to the Clinton County Correctional Facility for the PFA violation and a new charge of resisting arrest, police said.
She was arraigned before District Judge Heidi Wright with bail set at $15,000 unsecured, police said.
Theft by deception
LOCK HAVEN -- Keith Chaplain, Jr. was charged with theft by depletion for taking money for an item and not providing the item in return, according to Woodward Township police.
Chaplain was arrested on July 13 with a warrant issued June 16 after turning himself in, police said.
Chaplain was arraigned before District Judge Kibler and bail was set at $500, police said.
According to police, Chaplain is incarcerated in the Clinton County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.
LH man accused of sending threatening texts
MILL HALL -- State police at Lamar arrested and charged a Lock Haven man with terroristic threats after he allegedly threatened harm to individuals and himself.
Between July 14 and July 15, Jack Weir, 31, allegedly sent text messages threatening to kill individuals at a local business in Bald Eagle Township and then kill himself, police said.
Weir was charged with terroristic threats and disorderly conduct, police said.
