Vehicle rear-ended

MILL HALL — No injuries were reported in a two vehicle crash along Eagle Valley Road in Bald Eagle Township on May 29, state police at Lamar said.

At 4:50 p.m., Melissa M. House, 40, of Millheim, was stopped in her 2018 Volkswagen Atlas yielding to traffic in front of her when her vehicle was struck from behind by a 2014 Subaru Impreza, driven by Alexanna N. Hamilton, 21, of Mill Hall, police said.

Hamilton had failed to see House’s vehicle stopped and attempted to stop but was unable to avoid the collision, police said.

The accident caused disabling damage to Hamilton’s vehicle and minor damage to House’s vehicle. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash and were not injured, police said.

Police were assisted on the scene by Mill Hall Volunteer Fire Company and Martin Motors.

Dog law violation

MILL HALL — The owner of two dogs was cited for dog law violations following an incident in Bald Eagle Township on June 9, state police at Lamar said.

At about 3 p.m., two dogs were located near Lionel Lane without leashes. The dogs had escaped from a home and this led to a dog fight, police said.

Driver injured in crash

NORTHBEND — The driver of a 2023 BMW R1250 was injured when his vehicle crashed along Fork Hill Road, Chapman Township, on May 27, state police at Lamar said.

Eric S. Winkler, 63, of Florence, Mass., was traveling south on the roadway when he lost control of the vehicle on ruts in the dirt and fell to the left side, police said.

Winkler suffered a broken scapula as a result of the crash and the vehicle reportedly had minor cosmetic damage, police said.

Winkler was transported to Bucktail Medical Center by Bucktail EMS for his injuries.

Police were assisted on the scene by Renovo Fire Department and Bressler’s Towing.

Woman breaks into home

SOUTH RENOVO — A 26-year-old Williamsport woman was arrested after she allegedly forced her way into a home along Susquehanna Avenue in South Renovo on May 20, state police at Lamar said.

According to police, at 1:34 a.m., Tafera Harris is accused of forcing her way into the home and fighting with the occupants — a 22-year-old woman and 16-year-old male, both of Renovo, and a 53-year-old woman, of Havre De Grace, Md. — and causing damage to a 2026 Kia, a 2012 Dodge Durango and a 2021 Ford F-150XLT.

Six retail thefts reported

MILL HALL — State police at Lamar were called to Walmart along Hogan Boulevard in Mill Hall for a report of six separate thefts.

According to police, the thefts occurred between March 15 and April 18 and a suspect, a 39-year-old Lock Haven woman, was cited for shoplifting, police said.

Charges were filed through District Judge Heidi Wright’s office.

PFA violation

RENOVO — A 31-year-old Renovo man was cited for a Protection From Abuse Order (PFA) violation, according to state police at Lamar.

The alleged violation took place between 5 a.m. and 6 p.m. on May 26 where the man, no name listed, is accused of engaging in behavior or contact communication, police said.

Charges were filed through District Judge Keith Kibler’s office.

Man cited for harassing social media posts

BEECH CREEK — Zachary Glass, 21, of Beaver Springs, Pa., was cited for harassment by state police at Lamar.

According to police, Glass is accused of making several harassing posts on Facebook towards the victim, a Beech Creek man, until April 20, police said.

Charges were filed through District Judge Heidi Wright’s office.
