FARRANDSVILLE -- State police at Lamar are investigating multiple incidents of criminal mischief and property damage, including burned objects that took place over multiple years, at Colebrook Community Park along Farrandsville Road.
According to police, between July 10, 2021, and July 10, 2026, multiple instances of damage have been reported in the park.
Recently, between July 8 and July 10, unknown actors burned multiple 6×6 posts, two picnic tables, plastic electrical conduit, building siding and damaged other boards on the picnic tables, police said.
It was further reported multiple pickleball nets were damaged over a three-year period, damage to a brick wall between the last four to five years and damage to a flag and flagpole in the past, police said.
A blue pocket knife with a white handle, the word "Police" printed on the handle and initials "LM" written in blue Sharpie on the knife was found at the scene of the most recent incident with burn damage, police said.
Also found on the scene was a torch with a yellow canister attached.
