Indecent assault
RENOVO -- State police at Lamar responded to UPMC Lock Haven for a report of an indecent assault that occurred on Aug. 4 at approximately 4:40 a.m.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
Theft by deception
SOUTH RENOVO -- State police at Lamar responded to a location near Susquehanna Avenue on Aug. 12 at approximately 2:13 p.m. for a report of fraud.
Through investigation, it was determined that the victim provided Apple gift cards, totalling $5,000, to an unknown person posing as a representative of a financial institution, police said.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
Neglect of care
MILL HALL -- On Aug. 24, at approximately 8:20 p.m., state police at Lamar started an investigation for a report of neglect of a care dependent person, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
Accidental shooting
LOCK HAVEN -- On Aug. 7, at approximately 11:38 p.m., state police at Lamar responded to a location along Linwood Drive for an accidental shooting, police said.
The incident involved a sustained gunshot wound while the handler was attempting to clean a firearm, police said.
Harassment
RENOVO -- Two individuals were cited for harassment in Renovo Borough following an incident along Huron Avenue on Aug. 28, state police at Lamar said.
At 10:44 a.m., police were called to the area for reports of an inactive domestic incident involving a 49-year-old man and 48-year-old man, both of Renovo, police said.
It was determined through an investigation that the men exchanged punches during the incident, police said.
Both were cited with harassment through District Judge Frank Mills's office.
JS man arrested for theft
McELHATTAN -- State police at Lamar were called to H2O Express along Pine Mountain Road, Wayne Township, for a report of a scrap metal theft that had occurred between July 31 and Aug. 1.
Through an investigation it was determined Tanner Sanders, 24, of Jersey Shore, stole scrap metal rims, valued at $390; seven lengths and two elbows of aluminum, valued at $2,500; and four metal brackets, valued at $400, from the business, police said.
Sanders was taken into custody and charged with theft, with charges filed through District Judge Keith Kibler's office.
