Crush glass scattered
on roadways
SNOW SHOE -- State police at Rockview are investigating a complaint of scattered rubbish on Runville Road, Boggs Township that was reported on Sept. 10.
According to police, the complainant reported multiple dump truck loads of crushed glass were dumped onto the roadway near Snow Shoe at the Clearfield County line as well as along state Route 220 in Worth Township.
Fleeing in a vehicle
LAMAR -- On Aug. 8, at approximately 4 a.m., state police at Lamar attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a 2025 Chevrolet Traverse on I-80 near mile marker 174, police said.
The vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit ensued, according to police.
The registration of the vehicle was obtained and the operator was identified ending the pursuit, police said.
Criminal charges are being filed, according to police.
Vehicle rear-ended
MILL HALL -- On Aug. 14, at approximately 10:37 a.m., a three vehicle crash occurred along Nittany Valley Drive as Brook A. Messner, 24, of Mount Union, driving a 2015 Nissan Juke, was traveling westbound, approached traffic that was stopped in the lane ahead, according to state police at Lamar.
Messner was unable to stop in time and rear-ended a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by Donetta L. Yost, 57, of Lock Haven, which pushed the Jeep forward into a 2015 Ford F250 Supercab, driven by Gregory S. Weaver, 56, of Loganton, police said.
Messner and Yost sustained suspected minor injuries, according to police.
Furnishing alcohol to minors
MILL HALL -- Two individuals were charged with purchasing/furnishing alcohol to a minor after state police at Lamar located Conner Willits, 21, and Colten Etters, 20, both of Mill Hall, along E. Arch St., in Mill Hall. on Aug. 8 at approximately 2:54 a.m., police said.
The individuals were found to be under the influence and that an underage party was taking place, police said.
UPS truck hits child
RENOVO -- A two vehicle crash occurred on Cedar Street at its intersection with Ontario Avenue, Renovo, on Aug. 5 at approximately 5:29 p.m., according to state police at Lamar.
The crash occurred as a UPS truck, driven by Kevin R. Alexander, 55, of Liberty, Pa., was traveling southbound on Cedar Street approaching Ontario Avenue when a lime green Razor electric motorcycle, driven by a 6-year-old boy, was traveling westbound on the sidewalk parallel to Ontario Avenue, police said.
The electric motorcycle entered onto Cedar Street from the sidewalk and continued traveling westbound before being struck by Alexander, resulting in disabling damage to the bike, police said.
Alexander drove onto the child's foot which resulted in injuries, according to police.
Fleeing vehicle
BLANCHARD -- State police at Lamar initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in Liberty Township on July 29 at approximately 1:32 a.m.
The vehicle failed to yield to emergency personnel and avoided apprehension, according to police.
The investigation is ongoing.
Vehicle strikes wall
SHINTOWN -- A single vehicle was involved in a crash that occurred on Aug. 8 at approximately 9:16 a.m. after Richard E. Kelley, Sr., driving a 2024 Chevrolet Colorado, struck a rock wall causing disabling damage to the vehicle, according to state police at Lamar.
The vehicle was towed from the scene and Kelley sustained minor abrasions on his knees, police said.
Two-vehicle crash
LOCK HAVEN -- A crash occurred on Aug. 3 at approximately 4:39 p.m. as Robert S. Ramm, 98, of Lock Haven, driving a 2015 Cadillac SRX, was attempting to cross onto Tobacco Shed Road from Baird Road and entered the roadway without clearance, according to state police at Lamar.
Ramm then struck a 2022 Chevrolet Colorado, driven by Russell P. Johnson, 51, of McElhattan, causing disabling damage to both vehicles, police said.
Ramm was transported to the hospital for further medical evaluation, police said.
Drug possession
BLANCHARD -- On July 29, a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia was found a 35-year-old male, of Severna Park, M.D., property during a search, according to state police at Lamar.
Criminal charges were filed through Centre County, police said.
DUI causes accident
MILL HALL -- On Aug. 7 at approximately 5:50 a.m., state police at Lamar responded to a motor vehicle crash on the 1000 block of Renovo Road. police said.
During investigation, it was found that the operator, Raymond Farr, 29, of Renovo, was under the influence of alcoholic beverages, police said.
Farr, while driving a 2022 Nissan Altima, allegedly swerved to miss a deer, causing the vehicle to cross into the opposite lane of travel and strike a culvert, according to police.
Underage drinking
MILL HALL -- State police at Lamar arrested a 17-year-old female and a 20-year-old male near Arch Street in Mill Hall on Aug. 8 at approximately 11:20 p.m., for underage drinking and possession of alcohol.
