Damage to Riverview Park
LOCKPORT -- Woodward Township police arrested Xavier A. Kinley, 19, of Lock Haven, on Sept. 2 following incidents that occurred at Riverview Park on three dates -- June 23, at approximately 1:30 a.m., June 25, at approximately 11:30 p.m., and June 27 at approximately 11:40 p.m., according to police.
Kinley, along with others, drove his vehicle onto the park grounds and caused over $11,000 in damage, and drove in a reckless manner with people hanging out of the windows, police said.
Kinley is charged with felony criminal mischief, misdemeanor disorderly conduct, trespass by motor vehicle and reckless driving and was arraigned before District Judge Heidi Wright, being released on a $25,000 unsecured bail on Sept. 2, police said.
Deer causes accident
LOCK HAVEN -- A single vehicle was involved in a crash on I-80 near mile marker 179.6, Lamar Township, on July 20, at approximately 2:28 a.m., according to state police at Lamar.
Chase R. Irwin, 22, of Easton, Pa., was traveling eastbound in the left lane when a deer entered the roadway, police said.
Irwin swerved left to avoid the deer and struck a guardrail on the northside of the road, causing disabling damage to the driver's side of the vehicle, a 2022 Toyota Camry, police said.
The vehicle was able to come to a controlled stop on the south side of the roadway, according to police.
No injuries were reported and Irwin was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident, police said.
Single vehicle crash
LOCK HAVEN -- On July 7, at approximately 12:20 p.m., a 2023 GMC Sierra 1500, driven by Shelly A. Yorks, 48, of Mount Vision, N.Y., crashed near mile marker 180, according to state police at Lamar.
The vehicle was towing a camper and sustained disabling damage as a result of the accident, police said.
Yorks was cited for failing to stay within a single lane, police said.
Police were assisted on scene by PennDOT, Eagle Towing, Lock Haven EMS and Nittany Valley Volunteer Fire Company Station 17.
Terroristic threats
MILL HALL -- Jeremiah Ammerman, 35, of Mill Hall, was charged through District Judge Heidi Wright's office after threatening to knock out a 29-year-old Lock Haven female on July 22, at approximately 7 p.m., according to state police at Lamar.
Drug possession
LOCK HAVEN -- State police at Lamar initiated a traffic stop for a 2010 Honda Civic on July 5, at approximately 6:32 p.m., police said.
The driver, a 28-year-old Lock Haven man, was determined to be under the influence of a controlled substance and was taken into custody pending a legal blood draw, police said.
This investigation is ongoing.
Physical altercation
between brothers
LOCK HAVEN -- State police at Lamar were dispatched to a residence along South Allegheny Street in Woodward Township after a report of a domestic dispute on July 23, at approximately 11:03 p.m., police said.
On scene, contact was made with the victim, a 40-year-old Lock Haven man, who reported that his brother, Jeffrey Jordan, 41, also of Lock Haven, had shoved him to the ground and hit him in the head during an argument, according to state police.
Jordan fled the scene prior to police arrival, police said.
Disorderly conduct
CASTANEA -- State police at Lamar responded to the area of Lower Creek Road and Upper Creek Road, Castanea Township, on July 24 at approximately 3:14 p.m., for a report of juveniles who were acting dangerous and unruly.
Contact was made with parents and the juveniles were warned of their disorderly conduct, police said.
